She has given up.

[Jacinda Ardern says she will quit
as New Zealand prime minister next month,
saying she no longer has
"enough in the tank" to lead.

The 42-year-old said almost six
"challenging"
years in the job had taken a toll.

She will step down as Labour Party leader
no later than 7 February.
There will be a vote in the coming days
to determine her replacement.

New Zealand will hold a general election
on 14 October.

Ms Ardern said she had taken time
to consider her future over the summer break.

"I had hoped that I would find
what I needed to carry on over that period but,
unfortunately, I haven't,
and I would be doing a disservice
to New Zealand to continue."]

she was a weird one. I remember when most of the world had removed all covid restrictions, she said to the New Zealand people that they are now allowed to go to the toilet when visiting someones home

But didn't they have one of the lowest COVID infection rates in NZ??.

I don't know what to make of Jucinda, she seemed a nice person at first ,but maybe she was just very 'liberal' .

She is burnt out basically. She had some very strange ideas and her poll ratings dropped off a cliff

Jumping before she is pushed ...if there is an election in October and the polls are against them...

It wasn’t difficult to shut up shop though NZ is not an international hub...the Isle of Man also did quite well in terms of covid

She'll have had her fair share of cake no doubt, before quiting because she isn't up to the job.

I guess theres some tougher decisions to be made in the future that doesnt involve her virtual signalling for the minorities.

An island about the same size as the UK, with a population which is just over half of that of London?

Oh yeah, the low rates are all on her.
