BBC news text:
[N-word shame' is the headline
from The Sun, which leads with an apology
from a Chelsea football player over a video
posted on social media last year.
A representative for Mykhailo Mudryk
told the paper he was "deeply sorry
for any offence caused" by the video posted
on his TikTok account last July.
They said the player's use of
the N-word was "solely to recite lyrics of a song",
adding that the clip has since been removed.]

I mean it is lyrics to a song tbf.

Personally I wouldn't say it as I ****ing hate racial slurs, but if he weren't deliberately trying to offend someone by saying it, then I feel like he deserves a second chance.

At most I'd say that Chelsea could give him a warning for the use of the word, but I wouldn't do anything more than that as it's OTT by that point in my view.

every other US tv show or song uses the word, so there needs to be more consistency before there is any outrage
