[Kim Johnson made the remark during
Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday
and was asked by Sir Keir Starmer to withdraw it,
his spokesman said.]
Stupid Labour MP

Being forced to apologise for criticising the actions of a foreign government, how democratic

I take your point but Labour have barely just shaken the mud of antisemitism claims off their feet, it's probably a case of just covering their tracks.

It's right she apologized and it was right to make her do so too.
These comments don't help at all in the high tension issues surrounding Israel and the Palestinians.
Maybe get her brain into better gear to make a more controlled and appropriate delivery for future times she sets out to speak on the issue.

When we start bowing down and allowing people to be silenced when they criticise a foreign government, you’re heading into very dangerous territory, the world is currently coming together to admonish Russia for their actions against Ukraine, not allowing the same to be done of another country is hypocritical and entirely disingenuous, using smear tactics to avoid criticism should never be acceptable or normalised

I don’t try and silence anybody, I disagree with people, I’m not a government or a country with massive media bodies and politicians on my side, it’s not even slightly comparable and that’s the last I’ll say on that and probably in this thread as you’ve probably succeeded in your mission and made another thread on here about trans people, ironically changing the original subject and proving my point, thank you

The hard left do this with every subject/issue.

What is there about Israel that aligns with Fascism, in your opinion?

Look at everyone calling the Israelis Nazi and fascist, without realising that it's deeply anti-Semitic. You can criticise Israel all you like, you can hate the regime, you can side with Palestine... but you cannot equate Israel to Nazi Germany because it it anti-Semitic.
