The One Female Act had to pull out.
You would think they could have had a back up
A Lady Vick Bain was on NewsnightHD BBC2 (last 10mins)
she has created the F list Directory
so you can hire from
6,000 listed Professional Female Musicians
or Female Singers.
Some Female Stars
have asked for a Gig at a club
they say they already have a woman booked?
Meaning one is enough.
It is Tough being a Female star in music in the UK.
Move up to 23mins it starts

That is admittedly quite odd.
Yes in Music it
is getting worse for women.
But I mean a Top Lady Star
has to had to pull out of Glastonbury
Other Top Lady Stars
would do it
fill in the slot,
But they are Happy to be
all Male Stars.
aren't Blondie a headline act?

I knew it'd get stick, said so in another thread.
Lana Del Rey has confirmed she's headlining a stage (she's naggy that she wasn't announced as a headliner though, see her Instagram post), I'd imagine Lizzo is too seeing as she's on the top row. All's not lost however it would have been nice for at least one lady to headline the Pyramid Stage (solo or in a group).
Guns 'n' Roses could have easily been this year's Sunday Legends slot. Swap 'em with Lizzo!
I believe this year's legend is Cat Stevens? Genuinely couldn't name a song sadly. :omgno:

Sooooo what if concert festivals start signing blokes who identify as female .. as part of the ‘female quota’ ??
Wonder how the female population will react / respond to that entirely feasible development

No women headlining Glastonbury, no 'female artist' category at the Brits... So many talented female artists... What a shame.
Maybe the big female star like Madonna, Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, Rihanna ect, should get off their lazy arses and put their names forward and go and perform for their fans?
They'll all happily turn up to award shows with an after party but don't fancy putting some graft in in an English field.

Maybe they don’t fancy singing without autotune ..

Sam Smith? He was instrumental in getting the best female artist category removed at The Brits so all the winners were men this year.

I don’t think either of us are being disparaging towards women singers .. more that it shouldn’t really matter what sex / colour the performers are .. just enjoy the shows/performances
