Abusers have a way of gaslighting and mentally controlling you thinking you have no way out. Whilst its difficult to imagine staying in a situation like that when you have children, unless you have lived it it is very difficult to fathom or understand.

Gas lighting is a very real thing that happens, emotional abuse can be just as terrible as physical. Some men will manipulate women , it's classic abuse tactics.
