View Full Version : Saint Greta's exam results have arrived.
To be fair to her, she still has nine and a bit months to play with. Is she losing faith to delete her tweet prematurely?

She was 15 in 2018, if I had social media at fifteen I'd have said some embarrassing stuff too
Greta is fine, and she inspires young people to care about thr environment (pretty much my only political conviction lol) so leave her alone :fist:

I care about the planet more than her and I don't care about the planet that much. But at least I'm honest enough to admit it.
it doesn't matter what age she was at the time, she set herself up as the world expert on the environment, shouting her head off that she must be heard, so she does look foolish now, as she did then

Exactly.
I get that people don't have to like her views or her in general, but for some people to pull apart a tweet that she made when she was 15 is cruel imo.
I've said far worse on here when I was 15, as have most people done or said stupid **** at 15.

Maybe she’s simply not ‘qualified’ to be advising/influencing quite so many people though… she does worry me somewhat - especially as I understand that she ( and her views ) are completely controlled by her domineering father ..
I have nothing against her personally but I would sooner have David Attenborough as ‘THE’ main spokesperson for all matters climate change related .

At 15 she was at the height of her powers, she had world leaders hanging on her every word. But now, now when her bollocks ain't coming true, she was just a silly little girl saying silly little girls stuff.

The only reason we have heard of her is that the left he see global warming as political used her as a spearhead because they knew it would be hard to counter her as she was an autistic child.

Why is the environment an issue for "the left"? Can "the right" breathe something other than clean air, and survive in extreme temperatures?
You decide …

GRETA THUNBERG’s supporters have raised questions over who actually writes her passionate anti-climate change posts on her Facebook page after a glitch accidentally made it possible to see which accounts were responsible for uploading content.
The Swedish teenager has amassed a loyal band of supporters on social media where she shares regular updates on her efforts to raise awareness of the threats facing the environment. But a Facebook bug which was live for several hours from Thursday evening to Friday morning enabled users to see which admins were responsible for editing pages. This meant that any user could view anonymous accounts which edit pages, including those belonging to celebrities.*
One quick-minded fan of Greta tapped into one of her posts thanks to the glitch and managed to take screenshots of the accounts which had edited it - to her dismay, it showed the the accounts behind the posts were those belonging to her father Svante Thunberg and Indian climate change activist Adarsh Prathap.

I'm not going to comment on whether or not I think the "point of no return" is correct but I feel like I have to point out the hilarious/awful level of reading comprehension required to read that tweet and think it means that the world is supposed to have ended already :umm2:.
The tweet, quite clearly, says that if we don't stop using fossil fuels the world will be doomed by eventual climate change. It quite clearly does NOT say that the world will have ended within 5 years.
The concept is that there's a "point of no return" beyond which we may no longer be able to avert eventual climate catastrophe.
That may or may not have occurred. There's really no way to tell and I doubt there ever will be a way to tell when that point was, because the human race isn't going to do **** to avert it. Ever.
Anyone with a brain can see the changes that have occurred in climate. It just shows where we are as a civilisation, where we think we are ever so smart, but still have the vast majority of the population completely incapable of rational and logical thought

It just smacks of the same mentality as; "LOL if globals warmings is real then why is it snowing more than ever in Canada? CHECKMATE!!"

It's definitely where our taxes need to be going towards. The government and those at the World economic Forum said so, and they're to be trusted with our money. They definitely wouldn't be scamming us. And any thought that they were would just be a crazy conspiracy theory.
The earth has days...24 hours..
Lunar months..30 days..
Years..365 days..
Imo, the difference in the temperature could just be another one of earth's cycles that just happens every 500 years or something.
But the doomsday, climate pushers and all the schemes behind it are gonna make lots of money.

your entire thought process is completely compromised by mistrust and conspiracy

Was at middle girl LT's graduation today and at the end of the ceremony the Dean was doing his
closing speech and started banging on about the climate emergency apropos of nothing. Ex Mrs LT
and I were rolling our eyes and i almost felt like shouting "take your politics
elsewhere m8"
Of course Heriot-Watt has 2 (yes 2) Campuses in Dubai and where is Cop 2023 being held?

i think there is little point in banging on about climate these days. People who get it agree, people who don't disagree and its not going to change.. There is little point in the UK wasting money on it when China, India, Russia and the USA ignore it

Brought to you by the same people that tell you that males can be females.and that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and sent our brothers and sisters to their deaths on that lie. And locked you down whilst they partied.
