A Frenchwoman who admitted to killing her husband after nearly two decades of abuse left
court a free woman on Friday evening to loud applause from well-wishers – concluding
her ordeal that has appalled many in France. Valérie Bacot was sentenced to four years in
prison, with three of those years suspended.

Arista made a claim that women kill cheating husbands in France, I'd like to see a few articles showing that if it's such a phenomenon over there, I have googled but came up with nothing other than the story LT posted which was about an abusive husband not a cheating husband

I stand corrected
Up until 1975 in France a man had the legal right to kill his cheating wife

1991 in Brazil and 2005 in Haiti

Ok you're diluting now what Arista claimed - that French women in particular are regular husband murderers. He said that in his first post and yet i can't find a single story to support that.

Think about it if it was legal up until 1975 for a man to kill his cheating wife there will be cases were people still follow out dated laws

But to stab him to death

He had been systematically unfaithful on and off for the 17 years they were together, his actions clearly affected her mental well being

The dead man is the victim
Unless you think the punishment for having affair’s is being stabbed to death

Are you seriously blaming him for her murdering him?

There's plenty of women who leave Husbands who repeatedly cheat on them, they don't go around killing them.

No I am not victim blaming I am simply pointing out that she was mentally disturbed by his actions, not evil as Arista claims

it the boot were on the other foot and he had stabbed her after cheating multiple times I would say the same thing
