Edf energy are a bunch of clowns
It was a struggle to find a contact number
I got through to a call centre overseas
They couldn’t speak English to a good standard or understand it
Meter says call help but because I still have gas was told to call back when I don’t have gas because no one will come out
I said there is a problem I’m getting free gas if no one comes out you won’t get any money
So some one in another country might have contacted someone in this country to come out with in three hours
But no one came out last time I phoned and went through the same process
The world is a crazy place

If I were you Sherriff I would put all that in writing and send as an email and keep a copy because eventually at some point someone will realise you are not paying for your gas and if you have proof you have tried to resolve the issue with no success they may waive the charges, I would also be putting aside whatever money you would have been paying in case they hit you with a big bill down the line

Yeah I know its the same everywhere...computer says no kind of thing.
I would still email because they might waive the charges down the line if you can prove you tried to sort it
your call to them will be on record, so you have diligently contacted them. If they then choose not to take any action, that's their problem
Some of these energy companies are a worrying ..
They say that they’ve done a calculation to convert to Kilowatts to calculate bills yet SOME meters apparently give readings in Kilowatts ..

If the metre isn't recording your actual usage they'll try to bill you for estimated usage which can be (almost always is) much higher than what you actually used.

No the meter finally stopped working so I called and because I had no supply they sent out a repair guy
He turned up and said it’s dead I’ll fit a new one I told him the situation about free gas he said it’s dead and there is no record of what’s been used so it’s nothing to pay
