I can't see him bulking up enough muscle.... to defeat a contender who's let's say ' Barry from Warrington who's 6ft2 lifts weights and does boxing several times a week'.

Plus surely the other Gladiators will outshine him ,as they'll already be physically bulky and stronger. Maybe that's the plan.....to have a comedy camp character?? .

Tbf Gladiators has never really been tone wise a very serious Show.

I think as long as he doesn't lose most of his rounds he'll hopefully fit in okay, and preferably don't put him up against Barry from Warrington going by your description of him.:laugh:

I'm gonna be optimistic that the Show knows what it's doing here, if he isn't any good then I'll be the first to call him out, as I have seen "woke" casting on Shows before, but I do honestly think this guy's flamboyant persona should suit Gladiators down to the ground given it's tone and style in it's original run.
