It's not a surprise.
Moreso after yesterday's result.

He looked and sounded like a loser.
When you become a manager of a Chelsea, you're now a big shot. Potter never acted like he understood the size of the job. He just acted like he was happy to be there and working with great players.
Who next for Chelsea? Nagelmann would do well with this squad.

Did Potter ever say what he was gonna do for the club or where he was going to take them? I'm not sure he ever did.
Good manager but never was gonna fit in at such a big club with such high expectations.

This unfortunately.
We can't have teams making Villa look competent, it's just not right.:nono::laugh:

Potter would be a good fit for Leicester or Crystal Palace
Potter was out of his depth from the start. He had no experience of managing big players at a big club, and it showed. I can't blame him, he will be set for life now in terms of cash so he had to take the job.
Potter is the 13th PL manager to be sacked this season, there are only 20 of them in total
edit: Apparently Potter got a £20m sign on fee for joining Chelsea and a 5 year contract of £10m a year, so, it's kind of difficult to feel sorry for him

They're dropping like flies this season.
Scott Parker, Bournemouth (30 August)
Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea (7 September)
Bruno Lage, Wolverhampton Wanderers (2 October)
Steven Gerrard, Aston Villa (20 October)
Ralph Hasenhuttl, Southampton (6 November)
Frank Lampard, Everton (23 January)
Jesse Marsch, Leeds United (6 February)
Nathan Jones, Southampton (12 February)
Patrick Vieira, Crystal Palace (17 March)
Antonio Conte, Tottenham Hotspur (26 March)
Brendan Rodgers, Leicester City (2 April)
Graham Potter, Chelsea (2 April)
My Sack Race forum game would have worked well. :hehe:
Former Paris St-Germain and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has held talks with Chelsea about becoming their new manager.
