Any season the real world takes you back to a city in a time in its history. So beautiful, so nostalgic.

One of the best tv shows I've ever seen. When I was younger I was obsessed with this!X2lkvrMa27c

There's loads but the main one is the Peanuts specials.

This wasn't "on TV" when I was a kid but my Great Aunt had a VHS with a few different ones on (Christmas, Halloween etc) and when I was little I'd go there and watch them.

Have a distinct memories of watching the Christmas and Halloween specials at their specific time of year too (remember sitting on the floor in front of her Christmas Tree for example, dark outside, fire crackling away, lights on, all cosy). Every time I hear the music from them or anything it just gives me that rush of nostalgia/sadness you get from stuff like that.

I have them on DVD now and still, in my 30's, I'll stick them on now and then particularly at certain times of year. Miss those times and miss her.

What probably got me into Sci-Fi is this.

And tbh it just helped develop my taste in scripted TV in general.

BSG (remake) is great - it was the first sci-fi show to go "full lore", by which I mean, it's a linear narrative from episode to episode throughout the whole run. Other sci-fi shows that preceded it (things like Stargate, The X Files... much as I also love those shows...) were like 70% "episodic" shows where the episodes were standalone and the over-arching story was dotted in with episodes throughout. BSG is just one big massive 50+ hour long movie :joker:.

One of the shows that paved the way for that being more "the norm" for TV series (and TV narratives better for it, IMO).

Oh Galactica definitely paved a new direction for TV Shows, imo only GOT, Dexter, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine have arguably come close to recreating that same level of quality imo (from what I've seen from America anyway) because other Shows that I've loved I've normally loved for totally different reasons to them three.
