Outrage grows across New York as black homeless man dies after being placed
in a chokehold by former US marine on NYC Subway

A 24-year-old former marine pulled one arm tightly around Jordan Neely's neck
When police arrived, Mr Neely was found unconsciousness and unresponsive

The altercation has grim parallels to the killing of George Floyd and has
sparked protests in the city.

Jordan Neely, 30, was said to have been shouting at passengers in the
carriage in Manhattan and trying to tell them he was thirsty and hungry.

Witnesses said Mr Neely was then tackled by passengers and restrained by at
least three people, including the ex-marine. The 24-year-old from Long
Island, whose identity is unknown, pulled one arm tightly around Mr Neely's
neck during the scuffle on Monday.

Mr Neely struggled to break free from the chokehold, but a second rider held
down his shoulders while a third pinned his arms.

There are 3 of them around him, no need to have him in a choke hold at all, just pin his legs and arms down

Obviously not a race thing, given than one of three men struggling to hold him down was black.

Full story needed. But given that Neely had a history of violence -and 42 arrests (https://www.newsweek.com/jordan-neely-arrest-record-outrage-grows-subway-death-1798248)- and the man administering the chokehold was a marine, we can probably guess.

But I'm sure the marine has already been declared guilty by twitter based on nothing but his skin colour.

They want another reaction from the people like they got with George Floyd, will you be sold?

An Asian woman was killed when she was pushed onto the tracks in the New York subway, there was no outrage for her, the likes of AOC were silent on that one. The offended wasn't White.

This guy, and it is sad that he died, was a recidivis criminal that the leaders in New York wanted on the streets for this purpose. They wanted the public to dish out order instead, then they can use it politically.

Ideal for BLM to make lots of money from exploiting this

The system failed him, that's for sure.

He shouldn't have been left on the streets.

He went too far.

Erm a choke hold is always dangerous and the guy - especially as a trained marine - is probably guilty of manslaughter.

However it shouldn't (... Shouldn't...) be anything like George Floyd because there is a pretty huge difference between a civilian ex-marine and an on-duty police officer in terms of power differential and responsibility.

Crimson Dynamo

That choke hold you use to render a man unconscious and it works in about 30 seconds

but if you continue for ages then yep you will kill the person as the clue is in the name of the maneuver

Amazed that noone said to the guy "er if you do that too long you will kill him m8"

He shouldn't have been left on the streets. They want these criminals on the streets in democrat run cities.

They want chaos, it's good for their push to change the laws to gain total power over the people. And that's more important to them than representing their constituents.

It will end up being "back to the drawing board" just like it was when the Jussie Smollet hoax was debunked.

He must have been off-sick when the "don't kill people with chokeholds" course came around.

Not surprised you are defending the murder of a black manI'd cheer on the murder of a White man if that White man was a menace to society.

If Ian Huntly (a White man) was murdered, I'd be cheerful.

Maybe, but Americans have a love affair with the military. Folks only have to have worked as a cleaner at an army base, and they'll be thanked for their service.

LPquarz16wQI watched the first episode of this last week.It was the episode where his trousers makes him look like he is erect. And he goes to the cinema with his wife's friend. And he makes a bad impression with his friends parents.

It's the first time I've watched it.

You know I'm not an Americsn sitcom man, I'm loyal to the British sitcoms, but I did like it, and I think I will be getting into this.

Ian Huntly is a despicable man tbf, I can't blame you on that one.

In this particular case, the Marine guy should be done for at least manslaughter imo, regardless of if you think it's a hate crime or not, what he did was dangerous.

He needs to face a punishment.

I'm fairly sure the police have already talked to him, reviewed the footage (beyond the screenshots used in baiting articles), and decided there's nothing to pursue.A citizen arrest using force and ending with some one dead will get a full investigation. Police can kill people when they don't like what they're doing. Unfortunately ordinary citizens cannot.

I very much doubt this man will be found innocent. Manslaughter is a minimum charge for him

knocking folks,

Jordan told her he was getting it together

It seems the victim was known to the local authorities so they will inevitably have some kind of case on him. Let the authorities deal with situations like this.

Nobody would even care if there wasn't a bunch of racists, choosing this particular death to selectively protest over. But because they are, then we're gonna get some background.
