View Full Version : Question about food and if i'll die eating it?
I cooked 4 chicken breasts in the oven this time last night. I ate 2, which i usually do. Then, when cooled down i usually put the other 2 in fridge for tomorrow.
Anyway, last night i forgot to put them in the fridge, and have stayed in the oven (obviously i turned it off after cooking last night) ever since.
Will they be ok to reheat now?
Get them down you. The worst that can happen will be that you sh!t splash the toilet porcelain. Enjoy your chicken.

You won't die or anything, it's been cooked once so there's no salmonella or anything.
Get outside it!

Yeah, fcuk it. Just need to boil, then mash some potatoes and add some mixed beans in a mild chilli sauce, and some mixed veg.
Bin them. You'll be ill.
Not like they sat in the sun. They'll be fine i reckon. Think Alf is right. My Granddad would say the same - "get them down ya boy"

id eat them without a worry. At best they have sat in 14 C
Pork is the one you need to be wary of.

I personally wouldn't take the risk.
But good luck if you've gone for it.

I would Fry them
in High Heat
They never got Hot
after the Oven turned off
No Vermin Landed on them.
So Frying on Real High Heat
Kills any problems
Good, the cooked meat stayed in a closed space
like the real old days
when not everyone had a fridge........................

You should be fine, as long as it's not pork.
Do let us know if you're still alive today Swan.

Most things are ok reheated as long as they are piping hot (obviously woth some exceptions). I also think if you can buy a frozen version of something, ie rice in a ready meal, you're pretty safe to reheat it

You'll be ok , ideally they should have been refrigerated though.
But could have been worse ,and atleast they were not left out in the open ,as then that would make you ill.

Yeah….my boys do it all the time.
It's like a takeaway Pizza with meat toppings, they have at least 2 days on them tbf.
Oh I would never :/
I'm so paranoid with food especially chicken, I literally check every bite
Stir fry it till its crispy and chill out fgs.
Ok back to this one......
Brought some nice refrigerated Sausages early in the week, looked at the date. Now are 3 days over use by date.
Would you eat?

Would you eat?I would. I take no notice of sell by dates, they're just there to make sales. Unless there's mold on it, then I'm eating it.
Well thinking about all the foul smelling / tasting / rotting things they had to eat in all those Celeb Jungle tasks … maybe we all worry far too much about our food ??!?

I threw a finest Tesco’s bolognaise out the other day that was three days out
I don’t make a habit of eating out of date food
Lots of people say it’s fine and probably is but there is always a chance and having had food poisoning in the past it does make you think twice.

This is the problem when you refrigerate food, unless it's well in date or that you'll eat them straight away...they will perish likely .
That's why I just freeze stuff like that ...if I know I'm not going to open them and eat them within a day or straight away.
