This.
Pigsy at school, after the character in "monkey" cause of my nostrils.
And chopper as an adult, after my cock or footballing skills.
Just Josy really
Although when we were younger my sisters thought they were hilarious changing my name to Josephone (instead of Josephine) because I was always gabbing on the phone :bored: :idc:

Jesse?
Actually, no. I get likened to Samuel Jackson based on certain elements of my demeanour. I get that one quite a lot but I’ve never understood it. The two of us ain’t nothing alike.

But I take it as a compliment. I just wonder how people even draw that parallel.

I worked with a very funny guy and one day, just not long after he joined i was on the roof of the building having a fag and he was there and I said I did not know you smoked and he said "I dont, im just bludging" I said what and he said its an ozzie word for dodging work.
He was never referred to as Matt again, just Bludge and it even made it on to his wedding invite cards. 30 years later and he is still called Bludge. Sometimes nick names just stick.
Another chap (Mark) joined not long after and after a few weeks of going on Friday benders with this guy Bludge said one day that Mark is like fcking Satan himself getting me to stay out till all hours. He never was referred to as Mark again, only Satan.
Then there was Irish chap, Dick Power. Some one said he had a good bedside manner with the ladies and he became Doctor Dick and then Just The Doctor.
We named a guy psycho at school and we were right because he went on to set several buildings on fire

I was Duracell for a while (battery with a copper coloured top). All my brother's friends call it me, thank god it didn't stick with my friends
You can all call me pigsy or chopper from now on. Even you Duracell.
