I love it all.
The fish and chips, ice cream, the funfairs.
I find them so much fun!
Southend is my favourite.
Scarborough is king of the seasides.

I've never been there, but it looks nice.
I've been to Blackpool and absolutely loved it.

I've been to Blackpool and absolutely loved it.It's very hilly is Scarborough, so you get a good workout. Walking up hill to the castle really takes it out of you.
Beautiful beach, probably the best in the North of England, way better than Blackpool beach.

I used to like going to Largs and Millport.
I used to like going to Largs and Millport.
largs, millport and rothesay were regular haunts of mine in my youth. We had many a drunken week/weekend there
I used to like going to Largs and Millport. What about Salcoats?
In the iconic Scottish show, Still Game, they go to the seaside town with a made up name called "Finport" Those scenes are shot at Largs snd Salcoats.

Yeah, Saltcoats is just up the road. Don't think I've been to the seaside there.

I used to go on day trips on the Waverley. I liked how you could view the steam engines in operation.

I used to live in Bexhill-on-Sea (near Hastings) which features the De La Warr Pavilion, so I got used to the seaside life, tbh, so maybe that's why I find it a touch dull these days.
Most younger Brits don't even know the glory days of the British seaside town. I was only a young kid in the final years of the good times.
I'd love to see the British seaside towns rise again. Put some money back in our economy instead of the Spanish economy.
In those days, the stars from TV would be doing summer seasons in the seaside towns. Putting on a show every night for the Holiday makers.
