Poll on way.
i dont think it will be before the next election now, and the tories will be either led by Sunak as PM or in opposition which i don't think would suit Boris at all

NO, never.
It’s inevitable… you only need to look at the options .. in both (major) parties

We want bojo
We Want BOJO
WE WANT BOJO
i'm sure it's his intention to come back like a messiah, and given his history, i would never write him off, but people tend to move on, not look backward, so, on this occasion, i think he has had his day in the sun. It's a bit like Trump, he was a loser at the height of his popularity, it's unlikely he will recover from that

I kind of feel like his return to PM has a kind of grim inevitability.
When Truss was PM it was easy to think "all he did was have a few parties!" and depending on how the rest of Sunak's premiership goes, the general consensus might slip back to that view.
Anyway, depending on the outcome of the enquiries etc, I think he should be allowed to stand again in his/a constituency, and let the people decide if he "should".

make a triumphiant return but more on strictly, follow into footsteps of legends such as Ann Widdecombe, Ed Balls
and do better in RTV than your sister did on CBB
