First (January to June) or second (July to December)?

I'd say now the second half.

I absolutely agree. New year’s day’s alright and my birthday comes the day after but between after that point and May nothing happens. Easter’s just a conveniently good excuse for chocolate and an extended bank holiday. And all-in-all I’m genuinely much more of an autumn stan than a spring fan.

June to December.
All our birthdays are in July and November.
Autumn is perfect cosy weather leading up to Christmas.

That said, I like a bit of snow when we get proper snow... And also I don't like it if it gets TOO hot in summer and end up miserable. Last week's temps (23/24) were fine but if it starts getting to 27+? NO. Awful.
quarters suit me much better
Second! My fave time, Autumn with all the beautiful colours and smells, leaves on the ground, Halloween, cosy blankets and hotchoc, Guy Fawkes, then crisp frosty mornings, Advent/Christmas and OMG SANTAAAAA [emoji44]

Like someone else said, I might’ve done better to divide the year into quarters. Naturally from April onwards. On the whole, no-one likes January, February or March that much, do they.
And, listen, it’s nice to see you back, Josy, however long you’re committed to sticking around at the minute. I trust your tot’s doing well.

Second half, but predominantly September-December.
Summer's not as uncomfortable, kids are back in school (peace and quiet), Autumn arrives with it's wonderful colours, everything starts to get cosy, Halloween and Bonfire Night are always fun then you're fully on the "road to Christmas" which I love.
Might be a bit niche but one of my favourite things in the entire world is being inside in Autumn/Winter, nice and warm and cosy with a big mug of something, listening to the sounds of the rain and wind howling outside and against the windows. Particularly if I'm in bed at night too.

I like going into summer but really hate Jan-Mar and the darkness, given the darkest day is in december, the first half of the year must be brighter than the second half so defo the first half.
