Im assuming because he still collects royalties whenever it is used, and they don’t want to pay him anything if these accusations turn out to be true.

My thought is his music *IS* BBUK and the show will have a huge hole in it if it is axed.

Imo ITV should separate the art from the artist in this situation.

I mean look at R Kelly for example, he is a disgusting Human Being, but I still like Ignition and I Believe I Can Fly because he hasn't committed the atrocities on the songs, and I liked the songs before knowing of his crimes so why would I not like those songs now? All I know now is that I really don't like R Kelly as a person.

And if Paul Oakenfold is guilty of sexual harassment, it still doesn't change the fact that his Music is an iconic part of BB that should never be changed.

Again all it should do is make people view Paul Oakenfold as a person negatively, not his Music.

Not sure a reality TV show needs an opening title theme with lyrics and vocals. That's crossing into the BBUSA and BBCAN cheesy OTT territory.

They're talking about taking the show back to the "golden era" of BBUK and are now going to switch the theme out? Doesn't make much sense.

Baring in mind that the eye reveal promo used a new remix of the song, I think it’s safe to assume that the main theme is coming back, albeit possibly remixed
