This was an interesting choice. I actually quite enjoyed it, I’d defo give it a go on the karaoke but I’d need a few whisky’s first :laugh:. This would’ve been a good choice for the 70s round too. 9.

Alf and Vanessa Blew it out the park. I would have given whopping 10s. Everybody else except Nicky would have got 9s from me. I loved this round so so much. Thank you all for giving my ears a treat.

I deserved better. My performance was live, getting into the Karaoke theme and a unique cover, which also fits the Karaoke theme.

I guess my way of thinking was just above the judges.

maybe not used much for karaoke's but this is clearly perfect for karaoke's ;)


karaoke bangers for me mean = easy listening, songs you don't need to overthink too much about the lyrics, something what is fun, you can sing along to when you had couple of beers (i don't drink but i know many in my province do, especially at Carnaval, Fijnfisjenie is a traditional music event here at that time with plenty of songs like this one i submitted here)

Nope I stated very clearly before the game started how I would be scoring these. Out of 5 for vocals, out of 5 for personal taste and I would deduct points from the total if it didn't meet the theme because meeting the theme is such a basic ask. I gave it 4/5 for vocals and 3/5 for personal taste and I didn't deduct any points because it met the criteria

Well, tough quite frankly, this is how I'm marking them, as I said I said very clearly before the game even started that's how I would be doing it in a conversation with Kate, if she, you or anyone else thought that was a bad system they should have said it then. Here's the exchange below, you infact posted just after Kate had replied to me telling her how I'd be scroing them, why not mention it then? Or is it just because you're sore about the score I gave you this round? :idc:

How good a vocal performance it is
and how much you personally like the song.

Just had a quick look, some absolute tunes in there. My strategy with scoring is to mark out of 5 for vocals and the same for personal taste and if it doesn't fit the theme I'll deduct 4 points from the score I give
