Even more irony, i read that players will be allowed to wear armbands highlighting "social issues" so expect plenty of rainbow armbands, all the while sponsored by a nation who hands the death penalty to gay people, and hates women.

They are trying to get people hyped for the women's world cup i guess. I always noticed at these games (not currently watching) but the crowds are always cheap days out for kids. When you hear the cheers and "roars" after goals and stuff, it has such a different sound to the men's game.

This isn't really a complex debate imo. Men's football generates 99% of the money in football compared to women's. It's a no brainer.

Well from what I can see the England Lionesses are well supported but drop down to league level and there’s just not as much interest ( aside from the top teams )

Overall, average crowds in the WSL stand at 6,961 for the season up to January 21, 2023,

Said it before, say it again, Gabby Logan was passing through the town i live in when she was doing Stictly. She demanded this HUGE whole sport and swimming centre close for her to train for a few hours, even though she was offered a private hall that was shut off to the public.

So she's worse than Scott imo.

How annoying were Alex Scott paired with Fara Williams .. happily brutalising the English language

Dropping T’s … then we had an never ending stream of WEVERs , FINKs and FAWTs

‘ She wewe the FERVEST player forward ‘

That’s ignoring all the poorly used vocab .

I caught the last half hour of the China/Haiti game, if you think VAR is bad in the men's game, you wanna see how piss poor they were here, it was unbelievable :joker:

They have played some good stuff .. can’t sniff all that mind numbingly tedious interplay between the back three though

i can see Netherlands losing next round tbh

South Africa aren't too bad, i mean if they were not good, they wouldn't have turned things around in the final minutes vs Italy

Nigeria is a tough first test for England, they were pretty good vs Australia, also i think England should not get frustrated over the many times they tend to fall down

France vs Morocco is a fun one, second home country of rightback Sakina Karchaoui

Colombia vs Jamaica also a fun one on paper i think, two surprises here

Australia vs Denmark, the match vs Canada, the matildas were really good so who knows what they can do next
