So when Emily was booted out we were told the word was the offense and the context didn't matter -

The Sunday Mirror can also reveal that wannabe WAG Charley Uchea was hauled in for a Diary Room dressing down after using the N-word twice in one night. South Londoner Charley blurted out the word that led to Bristol student Emily Parr's eviction last month.
Charley, 22, told the housemates how she greeted a Chelsea footballer with the phrase "easy n*****" in a nightclub. Big Brother immediately issued the former lapdancer with a warning to watch her language - but took no further action.
Charley's comments were also edited out of BB's live internet feed and were not included in the nightly Channel 4 show - fuelling speculation she is being given special treatment by BB bosses to keep her in because her crazy behaviour is good for ratings.
Our source added: "Charley broke the same rule that led to Emily being booted out.
"Big Brother insists it doesn't tolerate racism or any language that could be deemed offensive.
But their decision to brush Charley's comments under the carpet suggest bosses are more interested in ratings than taking the moral high ground."
After posh student Emily was evicted last month a spokesman for Channel 4 said: "The word n***** is racially offensive. We removed Emily to make it clear that such behaviour won't be tolerated."
The cover-up will fuel claims BB producers are manipulating the show to keep Charley in. The "fix" has now been spotted by housemates. Carole Vincent, 53, has voiced suspicions that Charley is getting preferential treatment. She is furious that bosses cancelled Charley's votes last week after she discussed nominations. It meant she was saved from going up for eviction - and almost certainly leaving the house as she is unpopular with viewers.
Fans at last week's eviction claimed they were ordered to stop their "Get Charley Out" chant by host Davina McCall. Davina also urged fans to keep Charley in the house "because she is entertaining". Last night a Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "Charley used the N-word as a black woman to refer to another black person.
"We judged her use of the term different from Emily's. But Big Brother called her to the diary room to remind her that this word could cause offence."

So its not the word - its the colour of the skin of the speaker.
If not - why wasn't her usage of the word broadcast.
