This will fail just like the Chinese project did.

Jorge Jesus is a fab choice at top team Al-Hilal, who basically also had a huge winning streak over at Benfica

Cosmin Contra i liked too in his own playing career days, he was a excellent right back

Slaven Bilic also quite a notable name, former croatia national team manager

No, i don't think they'll fail

Saudi's compared to China are more experienced in this sport than the chinese with all honesty

for AFC standards, they are very much considered a powerhouse, in terms of their own national team

Mohammed Al-Deayea (173 caps)

Sami Al-Jaber (156 caps, 46 goals)

Majed Abdullah (116 caps, 72 goals)

3 times winners of Asian Cup, 3 times runners up

2 times winners of FIFA Arab Cup, 1 time runner up, 1 time third place

3 times winners of Gulf Cup, 8 times third place, 7 times runner up

FIFA World Cup Appearances at: 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2018, 2022
(failed to qualify): 2010, 2014 * (since making their debut)

1 time Confederations Cup runner up (1992)

i think contenders for the title are Al-Nassr (surely because of CR7) Al-Ittihad (if not bc Benzema, i mean N'Golo Kante still a worldclass top midfielder, and Marcelo Grohe still a trustworthy goalie) Al-Hilal (i mean they are their no.1 top team after all) Al-Ahli (with goalie Mendy, top goalscoring power in Firmino, Boudebouz whom i also know)

Al-Raed has found their new manager in the croatian Igor Jovicevic

the former Shakhtar Donetsk, Dinamo Zagreb, Karpaty Lviv boss

It would be cool if a UK broadcaster picked up the rights

I think Sky used to show the Chinese League for free on their Youtube channel. It depends if they take the "moral" high ground though and not want to cover it. Same as BBC etc who all claim to be about women's rights and LGBT friendly.

I don't think the Saudi's will charge much, if anything for the rights, they'll just want their product out there. It's just finding a channel or organisation who wont mind showing Saudi sports.

There is not one player I’d particularly want to see so I’ve no idea how it’s gonna make money ..

I read somewhere they’ve gonna fund the losses for two years and then anything can happen ..

Average attendances of around 10,000 !!

All fairly predictable though

All at the end of their career or in decline or where bench players at their club ..

Henderson was apparently told that he wouldn’t be starting many games ..

Only really Mahrez stands out as a fabulous current player and even he is 32 years old

Anyways a representative has apparently said today that all the big name spending is over now and all the money will go into development of the infrastructure
