[Downing Street has criticised the
European Union after it used the name
Argentina uses for the Falkland Islands
in an official document.
A statement issued after a summit with
Latin American countries this week referred
to the contested territory as
"the Islas Malvinas/Falkland Islands".
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's spokesman
called it a "regrettable choice of words".

I get that part.
It's just there's bigger things to worry about in this country than what the EU choose to call the Falkland Islands.
Rishi Sunak is worrying about the wrong thing imo.

it's more complicated than that, they know we fought and died to protect the falklands. They know the argentinians tried to rename it during that war, and they called it by the argentinian name. It's insulting to all those who died, and they know it. It's not something people make a mistake over

That's fair I suppose.
I honestly didn't think of it in that way, but I understand a little bit better now.
