[Zhanna Samsonova (pictured), originally from Russia,
had been living in South-East Asia and eating
an exclusively raw vegan diet consisting of
'fruits, sunflower seed sprouts, fruit smoothies
and juices' for the past five years.
However her eating habits became worryingly
restrictive in the last few months of her life
according to her friends.]

[The 40-year-old, known as Zhanna D'Art online,
passed away on July 21 reportedly from a
'cholera-like infection' exacerbated by
'exhaustion of the body by a vegan diet'
her mother told Russian newspaper
Vechernyaya Kazan .]

The Dangers of being Pure Vegan are Clear.

Like any diet you need to balance it out with other types of food.

A shame though, RIP

You need to eat a varied diet to stay healthy. That's what I try to do.
I hate diets where you can't eat certain food.

Where is the protein in that? MAYBE some in the sunflower seeds? Otherwise... If you don't have a protein source in your regular diet... You will starve. It literally doesn't matter how much of the other foods you eat.

Yes,
it is a Warning to anyone doing a Pure Vegan only
diet.

It's not even that hard to get though, plenty of protein in various beans/nuts/certain veg... I just couldn't see anything on that list of what she was eating that looked like much of a protein source...

cholera is a killer for the healthiest of us if medication is not available.

I picked up cholera once when i was in Tunisia and was seriously ****ed within about 24 hours. Of course medication sorted the problem very quickly

She died of cholera, and no one in their right mind would live on fruit alone, looks like an agenda to me from people trying to sway people from a vegan diet. Vegan diets are perfectly healthy if they are varied.

If you look at the last video she posted she looked anorexic

Indeed it looks like she has extremely low body fat, and any gastric illness is far more dangerous in that case. You can't keep anything in your system long enough for sustenance, and there are no body fat stores to fall back on ... organ failure can be pretty quick. Fit and healthy women should have about 15 - 20% body fat, men about 10 - 15%. TBH she looks like she'd fall into the risky category even for men (under 8%). So yeah something like cholera would be a quick killer.

Yes. She only ate fruit and that's not vegan either.
