Sad thing is there is nothing you can buy these days with one 50p. :(

They should issue a cheap , nasty , plastic version with Camilla’s head on it

Not including cheap energy drinks.

Just thought of something. That 'reduced' bread you get at the shopping till.

Sometimes they're as low as 20p.

But they're stale. :p :joker:

Pretty much indefinite, coins don't go out of date unless their actual form changes (e.g. When they made 50p coins smaller, or when they changed the £1 coin).

You'll get plenty of notice when it happens anyway, like with paper notes.

Thwres also a fairly lengthy period when they're still legal tender but shops should be taking them out of circulation (so customers can pay with them, but the shop doesn't pay them back out, they get bundled up & banked).

When Banks take them in

Only the King version from nowHis lugs will take up most of the the space on the new coins. They'll have to return to the old 5p size coin to fit them on.

Reduced-price midget gems are probably still pretty alright, to be fair. If rushing to Tesco before school for that (and if you were anything like me strawberry-shortcake yoghurt and cheese and tomato pasta) wasn’t part of your experience in Year 8/9, you missed out.
