comparing this crash to Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 which was a confirmed airline shootdown incident, which broke up into loads of pieces, while this one coming down relatively intact apart from a vertical stablizer then

US Defence Department spokesperson Brigadier General Patrick Ryder is addressing members of the media at a Pentagon briefing.

Asked about the Wagner leader, Gen Ryder says that the initial assessment from the Pentagon is that Yevgeny Prigozhin was "likely killed" in the plane crash.
