On the one hand, it does seem a bit daft that aid is being given to a country which is sending probes to the Moon.

But they're not doing anything about the poverty which affects a lot of their own people, so as long as the aid is being distributed properly and not going straight to the government...

Let them look after their own poor and we'll look after ours.

i don't think people understand how cheap it was for india to put the rocket on the moon. The actual cost was £58 million, which is peanuts

Why were they the first to land on THAT side of the moon when some other richer countries were determined to be first ?

"They just were" might not be a stunningly detailed and indepth answer, but ... they just were :joker:

Also technology marches on.

In the same way that a movie making a Billion isn't as much of an achievement as it used to be due to rising costs, tech has reached the point where it's both capable and accessible so that anyone could have been the first to do it.

That includes most governments in the West who are feeling threatened after they learnt that the Indian government is considering imposing an export ban on lithium, beryllium, niobium and tantalum as a strategic move aimed at ensuring the country's self-sufficiency in essential minerals.

We don't send money to India because we have kind hearts. We send money to India to obtain rights to their much needed minerals... on the cheap.
MSM won't tell us this, because if the general population were aware of our corrupt, blackmailing ways, most would be dismayed.

I read that they learnt an awful lot from the previous exploration and that helped massively with the costs
