Masked Mentors

Just sounding you all out on a future game I want to do.

It's called Masked Mentors.

I will be liaising with Strictly Jake as to when he would like to do the next series of Strictly Tibb Dancing before I give a start date for this.

Anyhow, here's a brief outline.

Players are either Mentors or Performers. The Mentors will remain a secret until the end of the game.

Each Performer will have an assigned Mentor.

Performers take it in turns to choose a theme, can be absolutely anything you like, and the Mentors then pm me a song for their assigned Performer.

Once the songs have been posted, the Performers then vote out of 5 by pm in each of these categories.

1. Does it fit the theme?
2. Does it suit your personal taste?

So up to 10 points available for their secret Mentor each round.

Your Mentors aim is to score highly, let's see how well we all know each other.

At the end of the game, the Mentor with the highest score wins.

Here's plan B.

The game will be played at a slower pace to allow the Mentors more time to select songs. Each round the Mentors will be choosing 3 songs, one for Barry, one for Nicky and one for Cherie. The themes are chosen by the Performers as per the OP.

After the songs are posted, Barry Nicky and Cherie will rate them.

Nobody leaves the game till the end. We'll have 5 rounds as it's a fair bit of work for the Mentors. We won't be playing at weekends.

A: 7 more or less fits the theme, i personally think of them as a soul group more than your average boyband
B: 8 has more of a boyband-ish feel yeah, but this more ticks the musical family group i think, idk for sure
C: 9 never heard of them, however it looks like a boyband, it sounds like a boyband, it must be a boyband then, no complaints here from me
D : 10 OMG YASSSSSSS whew consider me snatched, me loving New Kids on the Block, was the one direction of its time
E: 10 can't resist the backstreet boys like ever, they are nowadays still very good tbh, i prefer them looks wise now to back then, very much charismatic dads

B - I’ve loved this song since Ghostbusters 2 and it’s a classic. Yes I know it’s a different singer but it’s the same song sang. 10!
C - Ok I’ll give you props for thinking outside the box on this one, however, it didn’t do much for me. 8
D - I love this song, it’s on my playlist. A little 80s hurt no one. 10!
E. - Another classic. The dancing is sooo good and the song is catchy. 9
