Been through whole process. Waiting to hear. Evidently they surprise you 2 weeks before launch or you hear 0

A friend of my partners daughter told her that she had just heard and been rejected. Seems odd. I thought you either had a yes or didn't hear anything.

They were really really keen all the way through so I think it just came down to the toss of a coin at the end. I went through the complete process (of which I'm sworn to secrecy) and that it was just a case of waiting. Someone else I know went through the process they were told they'd been rejected couple of weeks ago that they were out. Mine was really last minute. I may apply next year.
Now I know how the thousands of people who audition for a television part and don't get it must feel :-)

The (standard) email it encouraged me to apply again next year but I don’t know whether I can be bothered. I am of somewhat mature years although I do work you one of the excepted professions. I did apply a long time ago and would have been with Jade Goody had I got on but I didn’t even get past the first part of the audition. I applied on a whim early this year one evening. Got a telephone call the following morning at 930. Zoom call for five minutes (which lasted 35 minutes)and audition 4 days later. It was whirlwind.
I’ll see what mood I am in next year. Third time lucky. Although in the First World War it was third time unlucky evidently
