She has a new political party
But doing a Poll on your own lot is not enough.
Also we can not afford to go back in.
She was on Ch5HD AM 1st show

i actually think that the numbers will be almost identical to the time of the vote. Many people who voted remain, accept the situation for what it is and have moved on. They wouldn't vote now to rejoin

The referendum was a full 7 years ago... there are millions of people eligible to vote now who were as young as 11 (lol) when the vote took place. There are further millions who voted in 2016 who have now died. Voting leave skewed older, meaning those young voters would likely have voted to be in the EU and those older ones more likely to vote to not be in the EU. (Note that I have said "more likely" to both, not "all", before some thicko or other who doesn't understand statistics starts spaffing off).
That combined with the fact that voting intention is unlikely to have changed in those who did originally vote remain, and slightly more likely to have changed for those who voted leave (due to unkept promises), and I think a shift back over the 50% line is all but inevitable. Maybe not quite as much as 73% but I'd say a conservative 55% - 60% pro-EU membership would be likely.
It's not all THAT relevant though... politics can be slow, and there's not much that can be done about that. It's one of the reasons that referendums are sort of a **** idea in general.

Again it was 7 years ago; many of them would not have been old enough to vote. There are people in their mid 20's now who weren't old enough to vote on Brexit. It's not even just the 18/19 year old kiddos. People who have been all the way through Uni and started their careers at this point, were too young to vote.
On top of that you have the people it's more relevant to. A 23 year old in 2016 didn't necessarily give a hoot about these things. For that same person now entering their 30's it's a very different story.
Again as a disclaimer: Yes I'm aware that SOME of those opinions will have shifted the other way.
I think it's very simplistic to say 75% want to rejoin. The vote was won by false messaging first time round, it would be 100 times worse if it were to be held again.
I dont think there is any realistic possibility of rejoining the EU in the next 20-30 years, but i do think we will join by the back door through tighter integration over time.
People forget, but thats how we ended up knee deep in it before. It was done by stealth and without a public vote. That will repeat again, of that i am certain

I am obviously not talking about people who were not eligible to vote at the time but there was obviously a higher turn out from the over 30s who got it which ever way they voted

Ireland would like the UK to re-join for sure. We deal a lot with the Uk being Island neighbours and all these extra costs now is ****ty and awkward.
For example, we bought a generator from amazon last year, buying from amazon is fine because they include all charges and delivery, it blew up a few months in but was still within the warranty but we had to arrange sending it back ourselves, we ended up having to use a Northern Irish Courier who collected it from the here and drove it into NI to ship it back to England so we wouldn't be re-charged all that Customs Duty etc -even though we'd already paid duty on it and were sending it back for repair/replacement!- it's crazy they don't have any kind of system for that at all stuff you've already bought and paid for
the UK was the 3rd biggest net contributor to the EU, so of course the EU want them back in
People are really not getting it. There won't be another vote, the government will never allow the population to decide something like that again. Thats why everything will be done by the back door. Slowly but surely, we will integrate back into the EU without actually "joining". You cant vote to leave something you haven't joined

To be fair that's true, Britain as a whole is extremely susceptible to negative campaigning and no one really knows what new and unimaginable BS they'd come up with for an actual vote. That's why I don't think the next GE can be called at all. It won't be run on the basis of anything but at the time. Basically I think Labour will only win the next GE if the Tories tactically [i]want Labour to win the next GE - which bizarrely does seem to somewhat be the current script.
