The conspiracy theorist in me says that this is a gaslighting incident if ever I've seen one.

You'd probably tell me to never wear a tinfoil hat in a lightning storm.

There have been quite a few people killed and injured by lightning on things like football pitches - the last place you want to be in a lightning storm is a very flat, open area and a football pitch fits the bill perfectly. Also more likely to happen if wearing metal football studs as you've basically made yourself into a human ground rod.

Yes, that's real bad
I hope he recovers

[A schoolboy is in a critical condition after he
and a man were struck by lightning
at a school football match.
The boy, 12, and the man, in his 50s, were
struck during a district tournament at
The Sele School in Hertford on Monday afternoon.

Staff at the school performed CPR on the boy
before the ambulances arrived.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST)
said the child was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital
in Cambridge in a critical condition.

The man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital
in Harlow for further care.]

We had thunder and lightning for what felt like hours last night. I hold Trumpet responsible.

Thanks for posting the Video.

They should put Poles up

BB2 Stuart was in the Mirror article.

Stuart Hosking, in his 50s, from Oxford, an AI business director and former contestant on Big Brother, said: "We were pretty close. I thought it was the sun setting, until I saw the flickering and smoke. The lights flickered in the house then a flash, then a rumble like thunder, but a single bang."
