Rate the launch out of 10

Solid 7 for me. Looks like a strong, diverse cast and I enjoyed seeing the launch night highlights to get an early sense for who's who. Think that will help them retain some viewers

Only thing I didn't like was it felt quite rushed at the start - no house tour etc. and the interviews and VTs didn't really tell us anything. Also a bit weird how they started by having VTs before interviews then suddenly switched to having them after

Yeah, solid 7 here too. It's bang in between Channel 4 and 5 eras, which is about what I was expecting and the best I could have hoped for. Editing is still a bit too jazzy, but it was never gonna be 2000-core "Why are my watching TV at 3 AM" vibes ever again. Feels much more fun and innocent than the Channel 5 years. Showcasing people who may actually just be...decent.

Yh I agree I’d say a 7 out of 10. The cast seems pretty solid, it’s a nice good mixture of people but the VT’s seemed rushed to me and when they kept switching them back and forth after the housemates entered I found a bit confusing.

I guess I’d give it a 7 out of 10. I didn’t think it was too bad considering the way it ended on Channel 5.

I'd say 6/7. I like the cast but the editing style of a pre-recorded launch is going to take some getting used to. A house tour at the start would have been good too.

I'd say 8, it was generally a good launch, didn't feel as exciting, not being live, but at the same time, it was nice to see more of the housemates on launch

I feel that ITV are being very careful with their spending, especially since this is the first time since BB3 that they've had to build a new house from scratch, hopefully the series will do well and we can get a purpose built house back

Ended up catching the show whilst flicking through the TV and was pleasantly surprised tbh seemed a big improvement on the channel 5 rubbish. May give it a chance

A solid 7 for me - I don't think it was ever going to be a 9 or 10 though as that era has unfortunately passed - so my score is out of 8.
Loses a point for the inconsistent VT editing (some before they went in, some after), and the slightly dud opening twist (a very easy secret mission for Olivia).

It reminds me of the BBAUS reboot just with a more traditional UK format. The voice is dumb - it lacks empathy and a personality. Still don’t think two hosts are needed for the main live show. Some of the entry games were a bit silly.

I'm happy it was pre-recorded and edited very tightly.

i thought it was modern, but largely kept with the original concept. Watching the live feed was just so nostalgic. I'm really enjoying it

strong 8 for me, I liked that they went through the entering the house bit quickly and we got some highlights, felt the most back to basics since it was basic

I don't mind that the housemates entering was a bit more sped up, it did use to feel awkward back in the day getting them in there, that being said, the walk to the house used to be massive compared to now

I wouldn't count on that. It seems like ITV is comfortable with the pre-recorded style of shows like Love Island.

I'll say 7 because of the promising cast and the fact it was a fun, entertaining start.

Didn't love the editing like the little slow mo of them approaching the stage and I wish the launch wasn't pre recorded. But on the flip side, I liked how that enabled them to combine the launch and the first night highlights.
