The country is becoming more and more polarised. I can see how it could be becoming an issue again. I also think that it is a world wide problem not unique to the UK

He’s not wrong. When the standing prime minister is an actual terf and is because he wants to appease the other terms, it’s not that hard to worry what else could be down the line

I think if he's really thinking of leaving if this shower of CONS. were to win again should maybe be for many OTHER reasons than this one frankly.

I liked Will and most of his songs but he seems to have gone a little weird.

Tbh I don't think even most Tories are homophobic these days, or at least if they are they wouldn't do anything about it openly, it wouldn't be popular.

One positive about Rishi is he knows what a woman is and is not swayed by the 'its all about me' brigade

Lock the door on the way out, and don’t forget to put the keys through the door.

Frankly, lots of groups need to be worried, but I honestly believe that cis white gay men are way down the list in modern Britain. Pretty much just below cis white straight men. In the current political climate, women (of all descriptions) have a LOT more to be worried about than gay men. As do minority ethnic groups, the disabled (both physicallly disabled and learning disabled), trans people, etc.

If you want to take a real deep dive - economically deprived straight white men have more to be worried about than financially privileged gay men. They're coming for "LGBTQ culture", not homosexuality itself. They're not one and the same.

That's not to say there's NO concern, I suspect the lurching right will come for homosexuality in general eventually. If we take across the pond as the vanguard; they're coming for women's rights first.

How many other countries accept and celebrate LGBT as much as Britain does?

The amount isn't really relevant if you're looking at a trajectory. We could be the most accepting country in the world - all that's required for it to be an issue of concern is for it to be a decline from the year before, and a further decline from the year before that, etc.

Not mutually exclusive statements though LT. There's a difference between a functional democracy and mob rule... I hope the world isn't starting to forget that.

Absolutely.
She's vile, one of the most likely dangerous and divisive Minister's of any groups she may dislike.
Absolutely rotten individual.

Trying to equate the silent majority with mob rule is ridiculous

It's simply pointing out that the idea that the majority is necessarily correct or sensible is not actually true, and an assumption that it is would be mob rule. We don't live in an absolute democracy (because on anything other than a very small scale, they simply do not work).
