View Full Version : I really don’t like Hallie

Just caught up on yesterdays show. I wasn’t a fan of Hallie prior to now because of her attitude, but last night just showed she doesn’t believe she has done anything wrong and BB are the ones who were in the wrong. She’s got such a bad attitude. It’s not even entertaining anymore, she’s like the new Kitten.

Yeah, she is embarrassing.
She was okay when she'd calmed down and apologised to people but I really hate the way she shouts at BB during her strops, it's so foul and degrading to her
…yeah, it’s for sure a struggle to find positives in her behaviour atm…but I’m thinking she’ll be up for eviction next week…maybe not Olivia, though…because she’s shown genuine regret…

I feel her apology was false though and done merely to try save herself not because she was actually sorry.

Sitting in jail in the rain , is not punishment enough. The second part of the rule break is even more pathetic on BB's part ....all she has to do is wear a silly outfit :notimpressed: . Make her face the public vote!!!!,these weak punishments are boring AF .
Haillie is not sorry , she's just sorry she got caught. Zero remorse ...and she can suck up those fake tears ,she doesn't fool me . She laughed, and then in the garden & Dr she's acted like a entitled brat as usual.
It was so cringe the way she kept trying to cover her ass with damage control with Zak & Noky . False apology, nothing genuine about her :bored:.

She allows others to influence her behaviour. When they were in jail Hallie was quiet until Olivia started creating then Hallie stood up and started shouting louder and having a strop. I think if Olivia had kept quiet, Hallie would have done too and taken her punishment. That is definitely her age showing.

I find her completely fake...she's trying to do a 'Nikki'....she makes everything about herself and her and Olivia act like a pair of 5 year olds.

Right? They go in as adults they should be held to adult standards.

True, she was trying to dodge responsibility by saying to Zak that other people had started the stuff about him being a gameplayer even though she went on about it way more than anyone

Never said she wasn't an adult - but I know I was far more likely to follow the crowd at 18 than how i would act now
If you think an 18 year old has the same maturity as an older adult, I would massively disagree

It’s important to remember her age because she comes across as immature rather than a really nasty person
Plus I think a lot of what she does is playing the class clown to be popular rather than being nasty.
Plus it’s big brother it’s not easy living in that environment

…I think that her age factored as well into an initial bonding with Kerry as a more maternal personality…only that didn’t turn out at all and any exaggerated emotional teenage type behaviour feeding there as well…it would have been interesting to see Hallie, had she attached to a more positive influence…

She's absolutely awful, she's sooooo incredibly and obviously fake
The newest moment being when she used the word "vindictive" and Olivia asked what it meant and she said she didn't know when she'd literally just used it in the right context. She clearly knew and wanted to fit in with Olivia and act "dumb". Actually embarrassing :skull:

Uh I wanna give her the benefit of the doubt because she is young but she is coming across very princess always gets her way attitude, she needs growing up I believe.
…I know, I’ve been rooting for her from the beginning and really wanted her to do well…in life, obviously I hope that she does and have no negative feelings about her at all…but in terms of her in the house and my choosing favourites/and less so, I don’t mind grumpy and I don’t mind tantrums etc…and I don’t mind even rule breaking …but there has to be more…and the ‘more’ has to be able to be seen and not feel so overshadowed by, hmmmmm…just feeling that she’s not embracing this experience that so few 18yr olds ever have or ever will…
…also, with the series being much shorter than we’re familiar with…we don’t have the time to get to know housemates in more of their depth, either…so we hope for more of a balance than Hallie so far has given…
She was one of my early favourites but she's turned out pretty damn unlikeable
…or basically what Lostie has said…/…the long and the short of it…
Can't believe she is 40, tbh. I thought she was 10 years older.
…mind you, with her multiple sclerosis…a disease such as that would/could be quite aging, I would think…
Halle’s disgusting behaviour ( shouting abuse at BB and the cameras ) is actually an accurate snapshot of what is happening in all our high schools across the country on any given school ( oddly it’s generally teenage girls ) .

I have seen plenty of 18 year olds act like brats and kick off like Hallie did, I've seen plenty of 40 year olds act like brats and kick off...........maturity helps but doesn't stop some people feeling they can act how they like to get what they need.
My initial point was yesterday in the jail task, Hallie allowed Olivia's behaviour to influence her own (i.e only kicking off when Olivia started shouting)

MS isn't a pleasant disease, but there's people who just try their best to get on with it, they get out there and they try to get as much exercise as they possibly can, to help their body . Otherwise it makes the disease worse , it's like a sort of therapy. I know it's not easy .
But Kerry isn't a nice person, and for someone with a disability... you'd think she'd be more sympathetic & actually have empathy, especially when she worked for the NHS. She clearly thinks she can do and say what she wants because of her situation, and possibly her age.
I've mentioned this before....but in IAC Kadeena Cox had MS ,and she never moaned or pulled screaming tantrums or bitchy sessions. You could see she got tired at times and struggled...but she just got on with things. Which is the best way  .
Kerry acting like she's mothering Hallie & Olivia....when in reality she acts just as immature and whiny as them.
Even with the VIP reward, you could see... she thought she was entitled to it. Like she's special.

…yeah a work colleague I had quite a long time ago had a sudden illness…it was something completely different but he was very ill for around a year or 18months, I can’t recall exactly…he was maybe mid thirties…?…but after his illness, when he had recovered…?….his aging had been quite dramatic…chronic pain will really attack the body and wear it down and that would be very visible…it was interesting to see Kerry both at her Adele audition and her Deal or No Deal and they weren’t that long ago when you think…and if I hadn’t known it was her, I would have struggled to have recognised her…and I’ve read that she won’t be going back to work so maybe her condition is deteriorating also, I don’t know…anyway I’m getting off topic so if you head for the door on the left, you’ll get back to the thread…

I hope Kitten found happiness in Australia. Don't blame her for moving out of the UK.
MS affects people very differently. Some people get progressively worse over time, some people have symptoms which come and go. Some people won't be seriously affected by it for many years but others will find simple tasks very difficult. There's such a range of symptoms as well, a lot of people find it difficult to control their bowels, some get really bad brain fog and memory issues, obviously the mobility is a big thing that affects most people sooner or later.. anyway point is you can't really compare one person with MS to another.
Tbh for all Kerry's faults she has barely mentioned her disability or looked to make excuses or garner sympathy

I agree .. it could be perhaps when she's 33 and the novelty of being a 'woman' has worn off, and she's left with a more gritty reality, and meanwhile many of her friends have children, I wonder how much of a prize the designer vagina is going to seem as a consolation.
Perhaps it really is that much of an issue for her though idk

Much as I don’t like her behaviour which can be very immature, I don’t believe that Hallie is perceiving being a woman as a novelty that will wear off. As she says, she has always been a woman trapped inside a man’s body, and I trust her on that. I think we have to respect the fact that she knows who she is at her core, and I think maybe the tantrums will naturally decrease when she has had her op and feels complete as the woman she is.
Garfie
20-10-2023, 11:36 PM
Just to add, I think her behaviour is due to her personality and attitude rather than gender, and I don’t agree that Olivia is to blame for the poor choices that Hallie makes. Hallie made the choice to kick off several times about the camping task and the food provided without any influence from Olivia.
I think this was Hallie’s character before she entered the house, and that she is partly exaggerating it for the cameras. Maybe she comes from a household where people communicate by shouting. Whatever the reason, at the end of the day, at 18, you know what behaviour is appropriate and what is not, and if you are naturally impulsive - which I think she is- you have to make the effort to learn to control it if you don’t want to go through life in a constant state of conflict.

…yeah I agree, Garfie…I think any behaviour is a part of Hallie’s character and not gender related…although, I’m not sure whether any transitioning hormone treatments might ‘enhance’ any emotional responses, I honestly don’t know…and I agree that she has to learn to consider others around her and that’s another journey she has to take…I’d like to see her interact with others more and a more positive balance that we haven’t seen yet…and especially now as she’s such a nomination target, this could be her last week in the house…
I hope this is not offensive but as anyone got a pic of Hallie has a boy?

Much as I don’t like her behaviour which can be very immature, I don’t believe that Hallie is perceiving being a woman as a novelty that will wear off. As she says, she has always been a woman trapped inside a man’s body, and I trust her on that. yes with respect, perhaps what I wrote was a little clunky, but I do feel you're painting a slighty unfair take on what I wrote none the less. I was not questioning her gender identity in any way, just noting how different life can be for an 18 year old and how it's easy to be impulsive about things that can have long reaching consequences.
I do hope for Hallie's sake that any precautions have been taken because to arrive at 30 something and be surrounded by new borns and preschools while you yourself cannot concieve is not a situation I would imagine anyone would find pleasant

So if she breaks the rule 3rd time. What would be her punishment? I know for fact if they won't evict her. If it was someone boring they definitely would have. If she gets 3rd punishment remove all food and beds. Make them sleep outside with cold water showersIf she talks about Nominations again she should be automatically put up imo

See I’m old fashioned and struggling with all this new stuff … so forgive me
What is the difference between Halle feeling like a female trapped in a male body and a guy who naturally behaves extremely femininely ?

That’s a good point, Ammi. Like you, I don’t know enough about the hormone treatments when transitioning but I think it could be safe to assume they involve lowering testosterone and increasing oestrogen which could have an impact. And it is true that, during both puberty and menopause, when hormones are in a state of flux, there is a massive impact on mood and temperament. You might have hit on something there that is affecting or exaggerating her behaviour.

Effeminate gay men are just that, while transwomen have a mental disorder called gender dysphoria. Comparable to body dysmorphia, or a disorder where someone thinks they're fat.
18 is pretty young.
Agreed, and she spent nearly three of the "growing up years" in lock down.

I’m not an expert or anything, but I would say it’s to do with the brain and the mind. I guess the brain is telling a trans person that they are female even though their body does not conform to that message. Consequently, there is a permanent consciousness that their bodies are wrong, and often a hatred or disgust of anything in themselves that is typically male or masculine. Having watched a number of documentaries about the topic, children often start expressing this belief from a very early age (and I mean about 4-5).
When a guy is merely more effeminate rather than trans, it is a just a natural behavioural trait, but inside the guy knows he is male and feels like a man. He doesn’t question his body or have any doubts about it being right for him.
This is how I understand it anyway, but I might not be totally right because, as I said, I’m not an expert. I guess the best people to explain this would be trans people themselves, so hopefully there’s someone in the chat who might be able to offer a more accurate explanation. But hope that kind of helps.

Hallie is like Olivia, just spoilt and used to getting her own way, must be a great eye opener for her and Olivia that the world does not revolve around them
Thank you. What a story the heck :conf:
I think I got so hung up on seeing Hallie as a kid that I didn't appreciate how bizarre that story is :joker:

Apologies for any offence caused in the way I expressed my views - in my defence though, I responded to the statement you made describing her gender identity as a novelty which would wear off, and I can only respond to the words you write on the page, even if they’re not quite what you meant.
To be fair to Hallie, I would imagine she has felt she is female for most of her life, so the decision has probably been fully discussed with her parents and with experts, and been thoroughly thought through over a long period of time, rather than being impulsive.
In respect to her being able to conceive, she couldn’t do that whether she remains physically male or becomes a transgender woman. From my understanding, there is a very high rate of suicide amongst those who feel they are trapped in the wrong body, so I would imagine that the internal conflict about her basic identity will always be more prominent in her mind than being a biological parent.

Hallie should keep her penis, and just be who she is now.
Because that person is wonderful.

No wonder, that height and those feet, she must be well hung.
No wonder Paul's so quiet.

SO many have. I could post a thousand 'buyer's regret' stories. Especially speaking about the lack of sexual sensation after the op, which is huge considering Hallie is holding off in that regard until after. It's not like the guy becomes a biological woman suddenly.
But, those comments in detail would get deleted or I would get a warning at least.

It’s got to be such a specialised operation I cant imagine too many surgeons have even attempted it !?
You’d want the worlds best guy to be messing around with your privates .. it’s not just got to look right which is vitally important it’s got to WORK and will need to be sensitive and that’s without mentioning the unmentionable …

Still not really close to agreeing with your belief that trans people are just mentally ill but we’ve been here before and your opinion’s clearly set.

I'm not transphobic, I wish them no ill.
I'm not anorexiaphobic either, or depressionphobic, etc etc.
I wouldn't stigmatise any form of mental ill-health.

I don't have a specific axe to grind, I wouldn't talk about them at all if they didn't come up.
The only thing I have which could reasonably be called "a problem" is when women's rights for single sex spaces or sports are being suspended for transwomen.
But as for them just generally existing? You go, girl!

I just remembered aswell , in Henry's conversation with Jordan.....he said he thinks Kerry sticks up for Hallie way too much. Jenkin & Tom were talking about Hallie's behaviour aswell in the garden. I wonder if she'll get a few noms, it's like people feel too bad to nominate her .
