I’m finding the voice is growing on me. Couldn’t stand it at first.

It seemed so echoey and strange at first, but now I'm getting used to it .

I dont know if they've toned it down since launch or if I've just got used to it. I miss hearing a female bb voice though.

I don't mind the voice as such but one little niggle I have is how they no longer refer to Big Brother in the third person. I always felt like it was a very consistent 'thing' or whatever that they'd never use terms like 'I', 'my' etc. but I've found they've started to do that with this version.

A very small thing but just something I've found really noticeable.

I never minded it. And I really like how this year Big Brother actually feels like a singular entity

I don’t mind the voice that much, it’s the weird echo it has that grates on me but not enough to wanna stop watching or anything.

I was wondering if they dub the voice over the voice the housemates hear in the diary room.

Or is this guy on-call 24/7?

This is how I feel too. The voice has grown on me but the speaking-in-first-person route this season is strange. It seemed more dystopian and powerful when it was in 3rd person. It reminds me of the Hal 9000 voice the newer Australian versions use.

However, I'm positive they dub the episodes with the guy who does the voice and they don't use a voice changer - that one person can't be on call 24/7. I've read that others have heard a female BB voice reminding them to wear their microphones. I wouldn't hate a variety in maybe two male voices, but I also liked the variety they used to use. During some editing the voice sounds super clean, other echoey, so yes, definitely edited in.

I try to see in L&L if they show much of the gallery - I haven't seen a voice of god booth like in prior seasons.

It's very robotic.

I prefer an upbeat jokey sort of voice.

I don't really notice it now. However I didn't even mind it in the first place, got to remember big brother is based on 1984, big brother is this mystery controlling presence with all the authority so big brother should be a bit creepy
