Selected 7. Most popular when I voted. Might have changed.
Slowly warming to them as a whole but the whole thing has being ruined by four individuals - just as I feared ( and mentioned before we saw the housemates)
Paul ( Obnoxious ,vile , behaving like a lovesick troll lusting after Olivia even with his girlfriend watching at home ) , Halle ( totally fake .. attention seeker all their whole life ) Matty ( hasn’t got one single quality I like ) and Farida - just didn’t like her ego / personality ( makeup guru) typified by her joyous reaction to be evicted .. completely fake .

There doesn't seem to be many personalities in there...I was recently watching a bit of BB5 and also BB12 and there are characters like Victor, Nadia, Michelle, Arron, Faye, Anton, Ahmed.. there really was hardly any deadwood at all in those casts. I don't think there's even one character in this series that wouldn't be classed as dead wood in those examples.. in my opinion

BB12 Tom, Louise, Aden, Mark and Maisy were dead wood.

Christ I feel like I’ve forgotten about 90% of the BB12 housemates :skull:

I’ve given a rating of 6/10. I just don’t feel I’ve laughed as much as I have in previous series, or that my emotions have been triggered very much (either positively or negatively). I feel like I’m on the outside looking in, rather than fully invested this time round.

I keep remembering ‘dogface’ and ‘halfwit’ and it still makes me chuckle. Do you remember that?

7/10 for me. Overall it’s a strong set of housemates but I’ve yet to find someone to really get behind and root for

I do remember them yeah :joker: That was BB10 though! I really liked Halfwit but I feel that if I were to rewatch he would annoy the hell out of me lol

I disliked him from day 1. Tbf it was a good season but I hated the majority of the housemates.

Yeah in hindsight the only likeable ones were Rodrigo, Sophie and Hira (a bore, however)
Marcus was my favourite but I wouldn’t exactly call him likeable

I get the overall feeling that they are still being too polite and measured in how they are engaging. it's lacking an edge still.. But I am not sure that's even possible in today's social climate.
I would love one of them to become overtly nasty. Not just irritating, but willing to take on the role of the bad guy and embrace that. If the best 'mean girl' we have is Kerry the show is doomed.

An 8 for me, a fantastic mix of housemates, could have done with a couple more older ones and only a couple of them add the bare minimum, most of them are starting to actually add at least something to the show

I actually liked that season!
Watching Lisa's gang break themselves against Freddie week after week was amazing.

It's not as exciting as it was in the C4 era, but I think it definitely has potential. Some of them are holding back a bit or at least trying too. I think that will change as BB ramps up the stress

S10 was amazing - The Irrepressible Dark Horse simping after Noirin and doing random Karate is some of the very best of BB.
people view previous BB's through rose tinted glasses because you only tend to remember the great characters and forget the rest. This series has as many good characters and bad uns as any previous series

id agree with that
bearing in mind the gap and the changes to society etc i think its a solid 8
cant wait for the next series

Yes, me too. Can you imagine them getting away with labelling them ‘dogface’ and ‘halfwit’ in this day and age!?
