View Full Version : How was that even a rule break?

Yinrun... I don't get it.

She discussed the concept of nominations, not the names involved with nominations.

If she was punished for this then every time someone discusses how noms make them feel or mention that they are conflicted they should be punished.

What am I missing?

…you’re not missing anything, an accurate brief…Jenkin might have just lost his place as heading her legal team…

she was asking Henry whether she should vote tactically or with her heart..that was my take on it, if she did nothing wrong, Henry would have answered her question?

Yeah, Henry knew she was discussing noms and shut up like a clam. She should have known from that alone to shut up

She didn't discuss actual noms though, she discussed how she was feeling about noms.

They all do this all the time.

…it’s a bit like saying…I have a few that I could nominate this week and for different reasons etc, so hmmmmmmm, I have a decision to make…surely similar has been said in the past by housemates….

Totally agree

I agree she should have been punished as it was still discussing nominations. I think the voiding of her nominations was not needed but again I think BB did this so it wasn’t a head to head between Hallie and Trish, as Hallie would defo go.

Maybe they should have considered that Yinrun is struggling with the English language so how she’s expected to understand the complexities of the BB rules regarding nominations is completely beyond me .

When you listen into conversations it’s clear that she’s still learning about our ways and culture .

I’d guess that she thought that everything was fine unless you mention actual names or you make it clear by a description .. ‘ that Welsh guy ‘ for example

Yeah was borderline for me too, nothing at all like Hallie's secret messages actually naming people but the punishment was far more harsh hmmmmm

She wassn't tho.. she was discussing how she feels about nominations.'Discussing nominations' means colluding as to who to vote for.

In no other series would a HM been punished for simply talking about how they feel about the process.

Yinrun is not struggling with the English language.
She is very intelligent, has an amazingly good vocabulary, she uses words that are anything but basic English.

Because she asked him " which way shall I go "', that is seen as influencing. But yeah she never said any names. I think she would have been ok..... until she asked Henry that . But let's see what happens when someone else breaks a rule again. Olivia & Hallie's rule break was alot worse.

Picking up specific words through living here doesn't mean that she understands everything though.

It's perfectly reasonable that she has big holes in her vocab and sometimes misses nuance and obscure words that she hasn't encountered before.

You would have to be pretty uncharitable to not extend her that.

Mandarin (which I assume is her first lang) is just so different after all.

Yeah there's been times when all the hm's are discussing things ,and she'll ask " what is that " .....they don't always explain to her ,and you can see the puzzled look on her face. Like in the Ant task.... BB mentioned about
' Triumphing '.... And she didn't know what it meant .
