View Full Version : Olivia and the "right" to be in the house

The last couple of HL's shows she's said a couple of things that made me think she feels like the younger HMs had more of a right to be in the house than the older ones. Firstly she made a comment about Kerry and that she felt obliged to be in her company sometimes rather than where she'd prefer to be with Paul and the younger HMs and secondly after Hallie was evicted she made some comment like how awful it was that people voted Hallie out because she was 18 and therefore less deserving of being evicted than the 2 older HMs she was facing. I really don't like that attitude at all from her, it's entitled and rude quite frankly. Thoughts?

The pranks are really putting me off her
After they've been drinking her and Paul are really unbearable.
I hope she's out before the final.

Completely agree
Incidentally didn’t hear one word about Kerry’s departure in the four hour live stream last night from the downstairs folk last night .
Olivia and Jenkin were supposedly sooo close to her

That's true and also her and Paul's attitude that 'you're in the Big Brother house so you should expect to stay up late' as if it's an 18-30 holiday resort and only one type of experience is acceptable

Oh really? It was a very self absorbed reaction as well on the HLs show from her (and Dylan too but Olivia is supposed to be Kerry's friend) all about how terrible it was that she'd been nominated and barely acknowledging the fact that Kerry was actually leaving the house

Yep, this isn't Love island, it's Big Brother and the core goal of BB should be as it was at the start, a social experiment with people of all ages and all walks of life.
the whole point of BB is that if your fellow hm's don't like you, they nominate you, but how you behave is entirely up to you.
I have a feeling that Olivia will be up for eviction tonight along with Dylan, Trish and Noky and if that is the case, she will be gone along with Dylan. Which basically means the killer noms were a total success, just spread over a couple of days

Well that would be a perfect outcome plus it would ruin putrid Paul’s BB experience

I don't know how Paul is getting away without being nominated as well, horrible rat that he is

Ohh imagine that if all three of the killer noms end up leaving within 4 days of each other, Noky and Trish would feel so powerful

I think its just a standard young person entitlement
in the same way older people think "bloody kids"

I disagree, there's a difference between saying "bloody kids" and thinking the public shouldn't vote out a young person over two oldies. None of the older people have given out the attitude that they have more of a right to be in the house because of their age
Olivia has not had a good look since Hallie left and it's entirely of her own making

It would help her immensely if Paul was evicted imo, he brings out the worst in her

Olivia and Dylan acted like kids. You're right, nominations are the game. And there is no right to be in the house.
Olivia and Dylan's combined mental age is about 10 years old.

It's the way Olivia is.
Dylan is far worse
We find out tonight 9PM
who is up for the Double Eviction.

I think some people go on big brother for the experience and others have a gameplan to try and win. I think Olivia would rather joke around with Paul and co but she feels like she has to speak to Kerry so she is not on her own. There was also get Kerry out chants so maybe she thinks a bit of distance is good as then it would save Paul maybe as he has chants also.

Bizarrely it’s because they fancy him, and no I’m not joking.

Olivia comes across so entitled....she is quick to lecture people on standards and selfishness regarding washing up and the toilet seat...but its a different scenario when she deliberately keeps everyone awake at night when they are trying to sleep.
Not liked her from the start...I hope she goes in a double this week.

The HMs?
Yes, Trish, noky Olivia Hallie those definitely
Then he is with the drinkers that nick the drink, Tom, jenkin Chanelle
Dylan see’s him as one of the lads
Yinrun doesn’t mind him
Kerry saw him and Olivia as her kids
Jordan Henry matty see him as the alpha male
All these aspects plus others putting themselves in the firing line has seen him not get nominated

True enough, I hope Noky sees through him now at least though, he treats her and speaks about her horribly

Olivia is clearly used to being the centre of her little world and is one of those girls who thinks that just because she gets a certain level of male attention and reinforcement in the real world she is the queen of it all. She is spoilt and self-entitled.
Add to this her crass abusive behaviours and her lack of anger management and she is one of the least attractive people in there.

Farida was right about her lol , ageist to a tee . You could see her friendship with Kerry breaking ...as Kerry didn't like their night time antics and she went to bed early. They probably see people like Kerry as a old fuddy duddy...even though she's only 40.
Olivia definitely has a rude entitled attitude, both her & Paul think BB is just about pranks and waking hm's up at night . Tom is just as bad as well. They all probably think they're the stars of BB in their delusional heads.
It's funny how Dylan is their mate now ,when he got frustrated with them keeping the house awake. Suddenly he's more angry with what Trish & Noky did than Olivia and Paul disrupting his sleep :bored: .

fully on board with this comment, the best thing about BB is the social experiment, seeing how people from all walks of life end up mixing with each other.
Also agree that Olivia definitely has certain ageist undertones from time to time although I can't specifically recall any without researching back through the archives.
It doesn't paint a very respectful picture of her, as if older people had no 'right' to be part of the show

She’s just an incredibly rude and inconsiderate person, really.
…I think that ‘right’ was there from the beginning from when she didn’t seem to show very much understanding for Jenkin with his series of unfortunate events with the beginning that he had …he not only lost his hot water and his suitcase, but he pretty much knew what a target he had become…ironically, if there is an ‘older/younger’ thing and an age thing that she feels…?…Farida was the person that showed her the comfort at her low time…it would have been good, though…to see Olivia have some thought for Jenkin if she thought she was having a bad day as his was getting worse and worse…and with the sleeping as well, it’s lack of thought for others and very self thinking behaviour….

Yeah, it irritated me when Olivia was saved from nomination and she came up to Jenkin afterward and said 'That's a weight off your mind now' or something to that effect. After she'd spent the last day or so insulting him while he was within earshot and not entertaining the very obvious and basic truth that he had no way of knowing she'd be put up for eviction when he chose her as the HM he thought he'd least enjoy living with. Me? I'd have been more than happy to tell her that I didn't regret picking her at all and that her rude behaviour towards me had only further validated that initial impression that she'd be hell to live with, lol. But no, Jenkin had to be good 'ol inoffensive Jenkin who didn't want to make waves.
Olivia knew that Jenkin was fretting that he had put her up for eviction. She was merely trying to comfort and re-assure him. Exactly what you would expect from the mother of the house

…her comforting mother of the house role was in saying that Jenkin was obviously intimidated by her …but that’s ok, because at least she didn’t have the worse dress sense ever like he was voted ….that doesn’t sound very maternal, it sounds more like mean girls type comments…
…I’m starting to think that you might have a price on her head, bots…that there is money in play and connected to Olivia ……

I've never liked Olivia, she left a sour taste from first impressions ...when she was effing and blinding about getting prosecco.
I think Trish clocked her early days aswell, she knows she plays up for attention ... especially around Paul.
And I agree it was very mean girl to make a dig at Jenkin's dress sense.
