When it was Trish who was barley shouting Tom drops the “you’re being aggressive”
Olivia saying “dangerous pair”
Not sure if it's racist but Tom calling out the aggression is a good shout. Seems like really desperate framing. I fear for the bloke if he's ever met with actual aggression.

Tbh you can't win either way in that situation.
Pro-Israel: "You're Islamophobic."
Pro-Palestine: "You're Anti-Semitic."
Have mixed feelings on the topic: "You're just sitting on the fence."
I thought Tom was making the aggressive comment in regards to Trish making a dismissive, 'handwavey' remark towards Chanelle for booking it. Aggressive obviously doesn't have to solely mean raising your voice. It can depend on tone and context. When people talk of aggressive negotiation, it doesn't always mean that both parties are lurching across the table and screaming in each other's faces lol. In context, 'aggressive' clearly meant rude and dismissive. And Olivia's remark about being dangerous was obviously in reference to Noky and Trish's good standing in the house and her perception of them as being gameplayers. Do some of you think she meant they're secretly carrying shivs or something?! Com on already.
Btw, to be totally fair here (and also to cover all the bases), Chanelle leaving the table so abruptly was itself incredibly dismissive and whatnot, but Chanelle's on Tom's side, so of course he's going to make allowances for her where he wouldn't with someone he sees as an enemy. Both sides of the house are always doing this.
Never a hint or claim from Trish and Noky thinking others might be racist in the house, but all the whites in this thread calling it. Brilliant.

I wonder how often people (in general) think they're being disliked for their census traits.
Like, a female friend of mine's bf once disliked me scarily strongly, and it didn't occur to any of us (least of all me) it was homophobia. But when she asked him about it, it turned out "because he's gay", which sounds ridiculous coming from anyone under like 60 :joker:

I mean maybe Trish was being aggressive, but even I know that a lot of racists do love to use that line whenever a black person gets upset about something.

That admittedly can be an issue in other forms of entertainment.
I mean the arrogance from Hollywood when they told the Egyptian Government that they're "racist" for not wanting an "historically accurate" version of Cleopatra being black (when she wasn't black) was absolutely astonishing in so many ways.

That was a while ago, could be stereotyping, that's of course up for debate. But Trish herself didn't take issue. Only person who has brought race up in the house was Dylan, as somehow he felt Trish and Noky, and him should stick together. Like Trish said, it was pathetic and insulting. Just like this thread.

A bit of a reach, this.
Tom labelling Trish as "aggressive" when she was actually very calm definitely felt like a typical dogwhistle that you often see being used against black women. Kerry, Olivia, Hallie can all scream and rant and rave but when Trish points out an uncomfortable truth she's "aggressive", always a double standard for black women.
Chanelle has openly admitted she doesnt do conflict, Trish was ready to shout in her face and put her down in front of everyone whilst knowing this, until Tom stopped her.
And she calls people bullies, shes got a bloody nerve.
What are you talking about? I've just rewatched this scene because I thought I had missed something.
When Chanelle stormed off, she was talking to Noky. Trish was sat in complete silence, so how exactly was she "ready to shout in her face and put her down"?
I've noticed in your posts that you are often fabricating things that just didn't happen on the show. Like in that thread where you said that Will was being passive aggressive towards Hallie in her interview. I'm not sure why you keep getting so mixed up with what you are seeing but there's definitely a pattern here.

Trish's friend has mentioned racism and she has written to the producers she stated on twitter. Unless it is just creating more hype around Trish to push her to the win?
tbf to Trish she hasn't accused them of being racist (unless I missed something?)
She has not. BB has always been about putting different people, from all the other country, and some times different walks of life, in what is essentially a pressure cooker. HM's are bound to clash, argue, and form groups. This is human nature.
However, as per, society is absolutely desperate to find racism in everything nowadays. What happened to not judging people on the colour of their skin? We're all equal, just because someone doesn't like a black person (who is not black themselves), it doesn't mean they're racist for christsake.
Anyway, the most important thing here to remember is that neither Trish, nor Noky has ever claimed racism in the house. Seems social media and the desperate knights in shinning amour on here and elsewhere conveniently dismiss that.
The only time race was brought up was when Dylan made that insulting black on black crime to Trish, and because she's easily the most level headed, and strongest character in the house, she shot him down immediately, and called him out on what a pathetic comment it was.

I honestly think it’s this. I like Trish (and dislike the gremlins) but I can’t see any evidence of racism towards her. Her friend would know as much as us as we all watch the same highlights/live feed.
This could could lead to a back lash on Trish without Trish actually doing anything wrong if her friend isn’t careful.
I’m actually impressed that it’s taken this long for the non-existent racism accusations to come out. Sure it’s usually earlier than this from what I remember.
I'm enjoying being back but I never liked these types of threads. They're never resolved and it's basically two sides pushing a hard view until it becomes a fractured mess. All that said, here I am anyway because coffee
On topic, I don't think it's impossible there's a racial stereotype playing out in to some of the commentary re: Trish, but where is the line where Trish could do with also do with some more humility in her depiction of other people's perspectives (ie not her own)?
She likes to "retell" the reactions of other people under a simpler narrative and I find that to be dogmatic and not conducive to building common ground with the other HMs. That's not to say she is "wrong". She can be very right in her general perspective at any point. But that skips empathy entirely and misses the boat on understanding where the views of others come from. After all she has confidence and obviously being outspoken she is testing her views, so she can still hit the nail on the head. It's just very easy to live by one's persona on an island of me with that mindset and that's just a common side effect of needing to constantly make one's POV known. It's much harder to do the other way and actually lean into other people's point of views, even if it's completely the opposite of what one actually believes.
Just a thought.
