Some of the housemates assuming he’s just in there for the experience because he doesn’t need 100k , do you think he is super rich being a food writer ? I just assumed he had sort of well off parents
He won’t be much richer than Chanelle will he a dental technician will probably have a higher pay check than him
I think Kerry’s job probably paid more

I think the other HMs hear his accent and assume he has money. Unless he's getting some sort of trust fund from his parents then I doubt he makes that much from food writing. I would imagine Jordan is a lot wealthier as a solicitor

I don’t think he’s that rich at all, probably comfortable.

Jordan won’t be on a lot of money, he is still low on the ladder
Junior laws went on strike to get better pay

Not sure what mega rich actually is.
I think he comes from a well off family and has a comfortable standard of living.

Well if he does have any money, he hasn't worked for it. A public school education, and probably mammy and daddy bought him an expensive flat in London.
As regards being a food critic, what kind of 'job' is that? He probably got that because of his parents' connections.
He seems a bit of a posh loser to me.:smug:

I remembering him saying though that he hasn’t received any money from his parents since he left school and when he went to university he had to take out a student loan so he could go
Food Critic is an important job
Important might be a bit of a stretch, he helps to pad out the pages of glossy magazines

It probably takes some journalist skill though , probably more than writing a review in the just eat app

Ask the people who run restaurants on how important food critics are

I'm not saying he's a multi millionaire , but I think his parents are comfortable.
Plus isn't he a food critic?? , that doesn't exactly pay badly does it ? . I guess it depends though.

I was wrong in my first comment he's way richer than Grace. He's super rich. Celebrities, entrepreneurs, and politicians, such as Lakshmi Mittal, Eric Clapton, Sir Richard Branson, and Madonna, all live or have lived in Kensington. Where Henry lives.
…I was googling it and food critic doesn’t seem to be a very highly paid thing…actually quite poorly paid…I guess there are some exceptions, but in general it’s not that well paid…a critic will get to eat for free, though…so that could be taken into consideration as part of their income…although even then, if they’re freelance…?…maybe they wont get those free lunches …does Henry write blogs, is that how his job goes…?..or does he get a salary from a magazine, type thing….it’s not a job that I would want, I don’t think… because it’s a lot of rich food that won’t always be the healthiest…I’m not really a rich food person…
food critic is a freelance journalist which any can and many do from the comfort of their bedroom. One would have to be a stand out talent in the field to make decent money, and i've never heard of him before

…yeah, it’s obviously a job that would appeal to a ‘foodie’ as a dream job, type thing…but not something that would be chosen more large income based…not that it couldn’t fit both but that would be only for a comparatively few critics, I would think….and Henry in life would still benefit hugely from £100,000 as a starter in life etc….
…it also might not be a freelance journalist thing so much as a blogger thing…I really don’t know…

either way, you need to be at the top of the game to make enough money to be considered wealthy
Everybody seems to be basing his circumstances on those of his parents. Which is unfair to say the least. I know plenty wealthy people with struggling parents and vice versa. Take Marcus Rashford as an example. It really is a nonsense

…even if his parents were wealthy, he’s obviously doing things for himself and following his own paths….and his path seems to be from the heart rather than the income…

He does have a blue tick on instagram and he does have about 13,000 TikTok followers considering that’s before he can add any big brother fans to his account because they all had to be made private for big brother that shows he did have a bit of a following supposedly to do with work related stuff

The way he talks about money makes me think he’s not as wealthy as he would like everyone to think he is

His parents probably are. But he's following his own path.

What if he is?
Big Brother is a ‘social programme’ that is surely not measured by what a houseguest may, or may not have.
Henry, when he fairly won the £1000, stated the money would help I’m pay his rent.
He has been criticised on this forum for living in Kensington. So what?
There are some delightful large properties in that area - that mega rich landlords have turned into multiple bedsits or studio apartments.
This does not automatically mean he lives in opulence.
As for his taste in food. This may well be derived from his upbringing and the way he was raised but, that is not his ‘fault’ per se …
Although, it may well have helped toward his capability of becoming a food critic, he should not be so sorely criticised.
I think he comes across as a thoroughly decent and well rounded individual, and although not my choice to win (Yinrun is), I cannot see why he should be so berated.

Let's face it, he probably has a wealthy family. But he has a good job and makes his own money. So not rich, but very comfortable.
