View Full Version : An Olivia win - how would you feel about that…?…
…it’s funny how it can all change from week to week…from hero to zero and round and round etc…even a few days ago, I’m not sure that I would have ever thought Olivia could be that final winner…but, hmmmmm…she has given us a balance of being very layered…we’ve seen fun Olivia and we’ve seen mean Olivia and we’ve seen many things in between Olivia…she’s given us it all…we may not have wanted it all, we may not have liked it all…but she’s the more flawed person that ….well, we all are….how would you feel if she won….?…

I quite like her and she has provided a lot of humour and life to the show. In her more self aware moments she's actually quite endearing as well. You're right that she is a flawed person and she shows every side of her personality which has made her a great housemate
I can't quite forgive all her meanness though and don't think that should be rewarded with the win. She's shown it too many times - her attitude to Jenkin at the start, her comments about Dylan, how she was around Paul and after his eviction. Even now the way she keeps going on about 'Blocky' all the damn time just gives off mean girls vibes even though Noky laughs along with it

The only positive i can say is that atleast she's not as useless as Jenkin & Tom. But she made a terrible first impression on launch night and i've never liked her since.
As for whether or not she deserves to win , i have to say a big fat NO . She's still a mean bitchy girl at heart and very spoilt and very loud and too much of an attention seeker. She acted like she saw the light eventually over the Paul situation. I'm a little sceptical , and i still think that was more about her fearing a bad reception/how she'll be perceived and wanting to cover herself.
But all week she kept blaming Noky & Trish but mainly Trish for Paul getting evicted, when anyone with half a brain would know and accept that Paul got himself evicted , and it had nothing to do with 1 comment Trish said . When long before Paul got any air time... in the earlier weeks , he was already losing support due to his gross habits and irritating childish behaviour which got worse and worse. Plus many thought he was just as boring as Tom & Jenkin .
I also find it funny how close she got to Jenkin & Tom when all they had in common was Paul lmao. Remember how angry and salty she got with Jenkin on launch over him accidently putting her up for eviction, when it was all part of the BB game . Now suddenly they're good mates. I find her friendship with Tom & Jenkin more of a convenience than anything more.
…I’m not sure that I would think Jenkin has been useless …he got off to a pretty unfortunate start with losing his case, his hot water, being a bit of a servant to others…and obviously he was hugely significant in being the one who chose a housemate up for eviction in those early days…he seems to be more of a ‘main character’ I would say…

…and she sings and she dances… mind you, Matty and Yinrun give us some stunning duets that would make a great Christmas album as a gift for grandma, idea…

It would be a s*** ending to a great comeback series.
BUT, there are far worse things happening in the world.

Not really my choice to win.
However in a choice between Olivia, Jenkin, Matty, Noky and Tom.
Then I'd prefer her likely to win.
Not her at all over Jordan, Henry and Yinrun though.

She would be a worthy winner. If Jenkins gets voted out she will be next to get my votes.

Can you imagine the dreadful scream she'd make aswell, it would be like a hammering headache . As she jumps around like a ferret doing splits, and twerking like she's mixed cough syrup with magic mushrooms :bored:.
i would be very happy with an Olivia win. No-one can say she hasn't contributed to the show

I would be happy with an Olivia win she has been a decent all rounded housemate - she sings, she dances, she works out, she bitches, she strops, she shows both the good and bad which is what makes a real housemate in my eyes.
I think she will make the final but can't see her winning unless we get an edited drama.

If it was between her, Tom and Jenkin then yes. Otherwise one of the others needs to win.

She would be one of the worst winners we’ve had that’s for sure. Maybe not on Helen levels but still pretty bad.

We all have our favourites, but to be honest whoever wins in the end is the viewers choice.
It’s a game show, we get played as well, that to me is the social experiment.
So, if Olivia wins so be it.

For me, I can see Olivia as top 5 but not top 3. I don’t really see her as a winner though.

Good points.
I thoroughly agree that we, as viewers, are played as much as anyone.

My personal hunch was that if trish had survived and made it to the final, there would of been a bit of a vote split with trish and yinrun as their fanbases overlap a bit, and as a result Olivia would’ve won. Since trish is gone, idk I see Olivia doing well in a vote to win but a lot of the trish crowd are putting their votes on Yinrun now so I expect a yinrun win

…yeah, this for me also…who actually wins and wins the prize fund as well etc is obviously going to make a difference to each housemate…but for me, it won’t change that they’re all really as equally deserving …they’ve all put themselves out there for public judgement and autopsy type analysis of every action and reaction etc…I think maybe more-so in BB than any other reality show…the internet in general and social media can be cruel and negative and none of them are deserving of that …they equally deserve good things in their lives…I like to see a favourite win and see and feel their joy if they do…and for any housemate to have gained enough votes to win….I hope that it’s all life changing in a positive way and I hope that they’ve felt that they’re gained so much positively as well from their time in the house and those who’ve shared that time with them…

Storytime... I had a bully in my childhood who used to make it a point to try to isolate and humiliate me. (This is not a sad tale at all, so save your tissues). Anyway, I think a year or so later, that person asked to sign my yearbook when she saw that I had one. This is the kind of person that would totally have taken advantage of that to try to score points with the friend group and also to "expose" my naivety. I knew that was a possibility but I didn't give a fart, so I let her have my yearbook to sign. The worst she could do is put something memorable (What yearbooks are for) and if it's horrendously awful, I'll laugh about it when I'm old and give zero Fs. To put it into perspective, we consume this negativity on the daily now through our social media... so anyway...
She gave me the book back. I don't remember if I looked right away. Anyway, she wrote out a well thought apology and went out of her way to come up to me and sort of nodded and asked if I'd read it. She didn't want to make it super obvious and I appreciate that it was probably difficult and maybe even awkward for her, but definitely keen to make me aware of how she felt.
For some reason, Olivia reminds me of that. She was charismatic (in her own bratty way), just wanted to fit in and I definitely empathized with her desire and need to feel accepted. So I never actually held any real animosity towards her.
She still had the same tangents even after the signing of the book, so far from "reformed", but she's a reminder to me that we're all a WIP. But lots of people liked her and I'm sure they had their reasons.
So that sums up my impression of Olivia in some way... maybe that says more about me than her.

…I think what it says about you is that you allowed yourself to be vulnerable to anything mocking or hurtful etc because you felt there could be sincerity also…and you gave that sincerity a chance over any past… that’s what you allowed to shine and what you allowed to happen…you showed faith but you also showed it when it could have meant more pain for you…?…and she didn’t let you down, which would have had the impact of restoring some faith of ‘good in people’ for you, which is no small thing when someone has experienced bullying…and it allowed her to be able to express her regret for anything in the past…to say sorry…and yeah, I completely understand your association with that experience and attaching it to Olivia….
…I honestly think that the forum…(…and the world…)…would benefit from a Story-time with Maru as a regular thing……
