Edit - I won't post them all but there are numerous tweets that have been revealed now which are disparaging to various different communities. We're talking dozens of tweets here across many years

I don't necessarily disagree, I read it elsewhere and really wasn't sure whether to repost it but did so because:

- it'll probably blow up a bit now it's out there
- people have been ejected from the show for historic tweets
- it shows BB didn't really comb housemates social media properly
- even though they're old she should still take accountability for it

Very unfortunate, but not surprising. People who cling hard to anti-Racist dogma as an explanation for society's ills are the first to perpetuate their ideals towards other races and cultures. (Basically they're not anti- at all...just indoctrinated)

I agree with Oliver, that she should not be ostracized for it and it's her human right to share controversial views. But again, a reminder we should never post things we would never want to be recirculated in the future. ANd also that Twitter is still a cesspool even if it's been renamed. And also, there's no such as privacy online.

The first one is recent enough to be relevant. I'd say the others are just really bad decisions in the past, but because of the first, it's now all in question... anyway, it's not that much of a shock to me.

…I think that I read that one of the conditions/rules for the housemates was that their social media accounts had to be shut down for the time they were in the house…?…so nothing would be accessed until Trish was evicted and it opened up again…?….

I find it suspect Ammi, as there was a hate campaign on Facebook apparently to get Trish evicted. I think people were using several accounts to plot to vote her out .

Also I don't see any verification either , it's weird how all this is circulating the net after she had the biggest cheers and wave of support,when leaving .

I'm sure it'll be checked into, but the same account is linked from her insta. There's even screenshots of it in her feed (weird). It's legitimately hers. Our jails are already full :laugh: We'll have to stop at some point because too many people have things they've rather not have out there publicly accessible and there will be some major event in the future I'm sure some of us will have to eat humble pie. When enough people are impacted, maybe then they'll stop treating computers like a fun toy and realize that it's a tool like anything else. I understand you're defensive, but don't get me mixed with her "haters" before all this came out. Look at any post from me about Trish in the past couple weeks, they're all positive.

At the end of day, I/we invested in her. We were rooting for her. She seemed like a really nice, level headed person. But all this coming really makes me question her character.

Really disappointing. I could forgive the odd one or two misguided tweets from years ago, peoples views change and people do grow but there seems to be a prolonged, sustained and repetitive anti-Asian rhetoric.

I really wanted Trish to win but now I'm glad she was evicted. She was a great HM and she showed incredible emotional intelligence, spoke for what she believed and supported those who didn't feel comfortable doing that. I will always appreciate her contribution to this BB, but she's undeserving of winning 100k.

Needless to say also that this doesn't mean she wasn't a victim herself of microaggressions within the house. I don't throw about accusations of racism often, but I do think there was a subtle undertone of prejudice from some of the HMs towards Trish and her being guilty of overt prejudice and racism in the past (and potentially in the present, for all we know) doesn't undo how she was treated in the house. However it does make her a hypocrite for just how much she seemed to pride herself on being the spokesperson for prejudice and intolerance.

It was set to PRIVATE when she went in the house as stipulated by Big Brother

Then after she left the house it went PUBLIC then the incredibly offensive tweets surfaced very soon after that .. then the account was switched back to PRIVATE . .. now it has since switched back to PUBLIC but the tweets haven’t been deleted or even edited .

That is exactly my stance as well

I’ll be truly saddened as I just saw brave and caring young woman in the house .. fighting other people’s battles at her own expense.

It’s virtually inconceivable that someone who had shown so much common sense and wisdom in the house and in such a pressurised environment can have written those offensive tweets

…I can’t be certain obviously but I think it’s more forum rules that were being broken which was becoming problematic….I’m thinking that in the middle of season and heading for the final, they didn’t want to think about big numbers of members being banned in trying to keep it all on track etc…I just personally need to have social media stuff confirmed absolutely for personal association …

AJ and Will should say something at the start though and explain why they have made that decision even if it is a standed ITv are investigating rubbish. The only person in trouble in that scenario is the fake account, our discussions are merely the result of the crime, so if it is fake, the more we criticize and ridicule the severe the punishment could be to the fake account holder. So it is in your interest to get stuck in if you believe it's a fake account.

Honestly those ideas were pretty delusional anyway. I doubt any of the housemates are going to be able to use BB to launch a real career in mainstream TV anyway, that's not even really happening for Love Islanders anymore. They might get a few brand deals on Instagram and a few appearances on podcasts but that's about it.

…I can only speak for myself as a Trish supporter…?…and I think that any disappointment for me is more that she’s let herself down …I mean my life as a supporter isn’t going to change and never was, regardless of any BB related events etc…..but for Trish, her path going forward isn’t going to be easy because this public thing is going to impact so may aspects of her life, I feel…I’m glad that they weren’t paid votes for people because that would have become something different, I feel ….but I feel the let down is for herself, her family and circle friends etc and the other housemates, especially those who have felt close to her ….I hope she has so much support and a great close support circle going forward…
