So I figured it out, for any non-UK lurkers. Make sure your VPN is actually using a UK server like it effing claims. The geolocation was France, France, France, US(?!), just totally random places. So it didn't work at all. But it didn't give a warning on the website like it normally would. So probably the client (web browser) probably broadcasts as UK, but when the IP itself is probed on connection to the video server, the real geolocation is exposed as it's not actually where it claims... it doesn't generate an error because the website isn't written to report a silent failure in the server connection. It gives a very fast error pop up instead (on first resolve)
