His agitating against Yinrun at every opportunity from the safety of his seclusion in the spare room (where he could not be heard by Yinrun and, conseqently, did not have to justify his slurs to the group) also marked him as a coward. His justification for maligning Yinrun was that she had nominanted him and that he wanted to know why.
Well, you can't always get what you want, and Yinrun, certainly, didn't owe him an explanation, though she might have offered one had he asked politely, but politeness, sadly, is not one of his social skills. Most housemates accepted their nomination with good grace, though the garden gang rarely did,
In the hierarchy of human turds Tom is firmly positioned at the bottom, i,e, the anal end.
An unbelievably unpleasant person. The worst of the lot by far.
