Never tried the liquor. Eel gravy has never really appealed to me, and that mash is looking devoid of butter.

I wouldn’t mind giving Cindy Beale’s a go if they weren’t in partnership with a rapist.

Those pies look manky !!
I’ll stick with our local pies or Hollands
Pie and mash isn’t a thing we have up here ( NW)
Is it meat pies they have with mash !?!
Ooh and normal GRAVY is a must either way

It wasnt any different to splattering a ready cooked mince meal onto your plate when you ain't got much time the last time I had it in 2011. The first and last. Its nothing special, and the cockney lot have taken it to far in prasing it
Jellies eels though, big plus from me. Surprisingly tasty.
Love pie and mash. Never tried the liquor but I think I would like it. We have gravy up Narth.
Isn't chilli vinegar essential to go with it?

Pie, mash and liquor is food of the gods. It's Cockney penicillin at the very least, it could quite probably regrow a limb.
The Butler's go for pie and mash.

I have never heard of eel gravy. Jellied eels yes, but... Yuk. Liquor is just parsley sauce brought to life when you splash some vinegar on it. I highly recommend it. Get some down you Cherie bomb, it's the best. Sainsbury's sells it frozen, there's no excuse...

I think the confusion comes because the shops were Pie & Eel shops. You could get jellied eels if you wanted, my grandmother loved them but the thought of them makes me shudder.
