…not just a trial as such…but Making a Murderer/…the whole story of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, was something I became a bit obsessed/possessed with when I watched the documentary series…scouring the internet for clues to be able to solve it all and know for sure…I don’t know if you’ve ever watched that, Zizu…?…I think that you might like if if you haven’t already seen it…

You should check out "Rottweiler Investigations" on YT. Have loads of interrogations and court cases on there all obtained through FOIA requests.

…also, I think the American made ones especially…(…sorry Maru…)..have lots and lots and lots of repetition…although they generally end on a wow moment to make you want to watch the next one straight away…they do also have lots of draggy bits and don’t keep it moving/…which they could while still keeping all of the details in…I wasn’t aware of that one, so I’ll check it out, thank you…

Because they are so young, if it were on TV I wouldn't watch it either, just read about it

of course I followed those high profile trials but not on TV

I remember the Michael Jackson trial being on TV in 2005. It seemed like a pretty big deal at the time.

Can't remember his name, Chris something, but i watched a documentary about him on youtube, so not a trial. But he was the American guy who killed his wife, then his 2 young daughters. Just utterly chilling. He was so calm, cool throughout the interviews and police cam. Had a lovely home, in what seemed like a lovely area, and 2 angels for daughters. Yet does something like that?!! He was having an affair, fine, that happens. But why not just leave your wife and kids, not have to kill them. Sick. I couldn't sleep that night after watching. I tend to steer clear of these type of docs now. Especially the ones that jazz up docs with a more entertaining like aspect.

In saying all that, 24 Hours in Police Custody starts again on Sunday. That's usually always an interesting watch.

I'll tune into the trials when Trump wins next year. Especially the Epstein Island trials. We all witnessed that they conducted Maxwell's trial in private. They can't stay private for much longer. Especially if the public start to demand it. We just need to wake up the establishment storm troopers and bring them back to the people's side.

Do you think Billy Boy Clinton was a regular visitor to Epstein's sex island? I do.

I followed Depp trial the whole way through, as well as Daryl Brooks trial. A few others I've followed in part or in passing.

…Chris Watts..?…his wife, Shannon was pregnant also at the time he killed her…I can’t recall all of the details but I’m sure that ‘his defence’ was that Shannon had killed the girls so he had killed her…he didn’t just have an affair, if I recall…he’d met up with several people that he’d met online also…/I’m not sure if it was dating sites…one of them was a male escort…for me the psychology as well is of those who become infatuated with similar life sentence prisoners in a romantic way, in knowing the extent and capacity of their deceptions/lies…

Oh that story was so disturbing. What he did to his girls especially, the description of how they died. He was a monster. I was the same as you Swan, I couldn't stop thinking about it for so long afterwards

Yes. I watched the Derek Chauvin trial, which was traumatic and distressing but very interesting too. I learnt a lot that I didn’t know before from different expert witnesses. I was also interested to hear the witnesses impressions of events. More than anything, though, I needed to see that man get the punishment he deserved.

It was a heavy investment in terms of time, and as I said, very traumatising, but I felt it gave me a much fuller understanding of the case than just reading about it would have. At times I wanted to stop as it was a hard watch, but I felt I somehow owed it to George Floyd to ensure justice was served. I had to tell myself that, after the horror he endured, my discomfort was tolerable.

I watched parts of the Oscar Pistorius trial too. And I watched parts from the ‘Boy in a Box’ trial which was a thought provoking case.

I did jury service myself and found the experience very interesting, and would definitely watch another televised trial, but it would have to be a case I was invested in. The celebrity trials don’t appeal to me though.

One case that I followed belatedly was to do with Trey Sesler.

Basically Trey Sesler was one of the first ever AniTubers on YouTube, really popular in those circles back in the early 10's if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway he had mental instability, rumours going around about him killing Animals with wide range of Guns, he also left up two YouTube videos not long before his YouTube career came to an end.

1. Mr. Anime (that was the name of his Channel) is planning something - Which he kept very secret about what he was going to be planning, and was his last ever video on YouTube.

2. I can't remember the title of the video, but he was talking about how shootings in America are really common at the moment, and wishing for people to stay safe.

Now the reason that I mentioned those two videos is that Trey Sesler goes on to murder his parents, Brother, and household pets with a bunch of different guns if I'm not mistaken.

And when The Police eventually find out what has happened, Trey Sesler is on the run from The Police, however he left a bunch of writing on the walls and doors of the house talking about "what have I done?" amongst other messages signaling him feeling guilty.

When The Police search further into the house they start singing Roxanne at the top of their lungs.:joker:

But seriously as the Police search further into the house, they find out that Trey Sesler was planning his own Columbine High School Massacre as apparently Trey Sesler had an infatuation with the case, and how to improve on where they went wrong.

Fortunately the Police found him in his Car just outside the School before he could pull his plan off, by all accounts it seems like Trey Sesler killed his family so that they wouldn't witness him becoming the villain (I'm sorry I couldn't resist) but he genuinely didn't want his family to see him become a School Shooter, so he killed them.

My theory is that he had Schizophrenia, but nothing was ever confirmed on that.

Just to add, Trey Sesler insisted himself that he never wants to be let out of Prison, which is unusual for a Serial Killer to want that.
