i had been playing with cable until today, first time me today playing wireless, feels amazing honestly, especially as i am gaming from my bed, otherwise with the cable i couldn't even move one bit or while plugged in it gave me the message, controller disconnected from the console
and now no longer that
and easy for me to recharge it, 20 minutes maybe, in the usb portal of my computer (also on computer i can check if it still works correctly and according to my computer it does work correctly)

Do you mean the controller wired or wireless or the actual playstation?
My son's PS4 is hard wired to the internet but he uses a wireless controller

Think he means the controller.

Ahhh....yeah he plays wireless unless its running out and then plays wired.
Matthew is seriously pecking for a PS5 - he is proper getting on every nerve I have left at this point. I have held off so far as I wanted to see if they would come down in price but now all the games he wants a PS5 exclusives so I am going to have to try and get one.

i usually play for few hours
i have vibration function turned off (also saves some energy on that for its battery) and that vibration is annoying
all these nice colours too that come with the dualshock 4 controller
i see when its loading between races on the F1 23 game, a white colour, when i am racing it turns to blue
when it was recharging just now, yellow colour (which more means rest mode and just set to recharge)

Game always offer trade-in deals if you have one up there. Might be able to reduce the cost by a chunk.
Edit: There's one in the Arndale.

I always use wireless controllers. I still play with it plugged into the PlayStation whilst it’s charging but once it’s full I’ll take it off.
Remote play is handy if you don't wanna shell out for a capture card when streaming.

Tbf I suppose there's not much choice but to play with cable attached sometimes if you only have one controller and game for longer than a full charge in one sitting. A fully charged PS5 controller should last like 3 hours -- I dream of the days when I had more than 3 hours to game in one sitting :joker:.
It does still happen occasionally but I have two controllers so can play with one and charge the other at the same time. It must be like 15 years (PS2?) since I played with a cable attached :omgno:.

the cable works fine at recharging, it just is way too glitchy like when i make sudden movements, like sit up straight or move my controller more towards me it disconnects, so yeah i find it much nicer playing wireless
and i played for like an hour, and it was still fully charged, i checked when plugging the cable into the PS4 console
i usually play for like an hour after lunch (sundays usually longer) but honestly they also say you can't game for too long either, not healthy for you in terms of fatigue, nausea
and i'm up to date now in terms of 2023 games, F1 and FIFA (both for one EA account, it also remembered me from previous versions, also very handy not having to log in but it automatically does that)
other games what i have are
Life is Strange (1, Before the Storm prequel, 2 and True Colors (main story + bonus ep wavelengths)
Star Trek Resurgence
Telltale The Walking Dead Definitive Edition
Lego Jurassic World
Fallout 4 (all DLC in it too, sometimes it gets stuck i know, but it can be fun, Far Harbor levels are difficult but those characters are good fun)
games yet to try out are
Hitman 2
Until Dawn
Red Dead Redemption 2
