No, I am not sure what went on here I assumed the lady who was shot was the boys Mum but she is not related, maybe she was fostering them? sounds like one of them was involved with a gang and they were the target, horrific really 16 and 20

CIC (and parent-child separation in general) are at-risk for gang activity, as are those who have parent criminality. I'm not going to speculate as to why they're in care (if they are) or make a joke about it being in Hackney ... but she was obviously a very brave and caring woman.
