Most definitely and at times it’s been worse than COVID
Runny nose and all that crap that goes with it

Yep it's dreadful
No, I haven't been ill for 2 years, touch wood.
Plenty of meat, alcohol and cigarettes keeps me healthy. Plus I don't have any of that vaccine muck inside me.
I had the flu a week or two ago and seem to have retained a slight cough since then.

.
Nope.
Had Covid earlier in the year but not prone to colds.
I don’t go out though so I only mix with people that know better to come around if they have any germs going on.

More like a persistent cold-sore. Only tea-tree oil’s been of any help so far.

I feel better today, so will keep taking the paracetamol.
My sister is also sick, the flu is going round unfortunately.

Be careful with extended use of Paracetamol ….
I heard that if you are taking more than 30 paracetamol per month your body becomes accustomed to it and starts to CRAVE it ..

It's only to help with this cold. I don't even get a headache. But I keep it in case I get sick.

What’s there to crave about a generic tablet? It’s not exactly tramadol or morphine.

Omg This cold is so bad :bawling:
In my estimation, the worst thing about a cold is trying to get to sleep with a blocked nose. Last time that happened, I had to breath through my mouth instead and ended up getting chapped lips. Very annoying.
…this sounds as though it might be the cold virus that you have, Vanessa…the only good thing, I guess…is that hopefully you’ll be well for Christmas and be able to enjoy your festive time, feeling more healthy…?…be well soon…..
Warning over 'brutal' new cold spreading across the UK that 'lasts for weeks'
A "brutal" new cold is sweeping across the United Kingdom this winter, leaving many bedbound for days and weeks.
The horrible virus, which is said to cause headaches, blocked sinuses and fatigue, was shared by one user on the popular Reddit page r/CasualUK.
They told of how the cold lasted for weeks, leaving them unable to get out of bed.
Reddit users warn over 'brutal' new cold sweeping across the UK
They told others on the UK site: "Just coming off the back end of a brutal cold that's lasted about 3 weeks, during which my sinuses have been almost completely closed, relaxing only for brief periods while also producing mucus at an alarming rate."
Speaking of their struggle to breathe through their nose because of the flu, the user added: "Emerging from my bed this morning, I could breathe through my nose again. I could smell things. It still feels like somebody poured Ready Brek into the back of my face, but it's finally over and life is beautiful again."
Another user of the page popped up in the forum, saying: "I'm just emerging from it now. B***dy awful, almost like flu."
Another added: "I caught it in October, I was bedridden for days and then spent another week housebound, constantly looking at my phone to see if it had been 4 hours since my last dose of paracetamol. I'm assuming it's a Covid variant that isn't picked up by the tests, it was worse than any winter bug I'd had before 2020."
Another person on the site shared their horrendous experience with the overproduction of mucus, writing: "Currently on day 5 of it. Feel absolutely lousy. So much mucus it's ridiculous. Already feeling anxious about having to call in sick again tomorrow but I refuse to go back to work until I'm well enough."
While many were sure it was a new strain of Coronavirus, there is no certain information to back this up.

I hope this doesn’t give the press an excuse to start banging on about Covid again. Flu’s always been a seasonal virus. It didn’t suddenly get superseded with and replaced by coronavirus at the end of 2019, meaning no-one’s allowed to get sick from any other seasonal virus anymore. The bulk of Covid is over.

I often have a wet nose, that runs but it's not a cold. It's just what happens when the air is cold. The nose runs.

I got some syrup. Really hope it helps.
Remember the most important ingredient in a cough linctus is GLYCERIN !!!!
The supermarket own brand ones are best and are only about £2 or £2.50
Forget those expensive ones that burn or irritate your throat ffs !!!

Had a horrible cold just over two weeks ago, was barely over it then got sick again - tested positive for Covid on Thursday. It's my first time. Guess I had to get it eventually.

You were right about that bug. Ours took its sweet time to go away... Southern US got really bad with respiratory stuff... we just had a cold (thankfully) that wouldn't go away and we were snotting up for a few weeks.

I've never had a real cold and flu for 7 years.
Didn't even get Covid.
I put it down to eating garlic bread every day. :D

We’re in southern states too and the whole family is just getting over a horrific bug. We don’t know if it’s covid or the flu but it literally started on the week before Christmas and it’s still affecting us now. Noooot fun
Hope you guys are better now!
