Majors has been dropped by the studio after
he was found guilty of harassing
and assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari
The convictions could spell up to
a year behind bars - along with the ruin
of his Hollywood career
Majors first appeared in the role of the
villainous Kang in a 2021
episode of the Disney+ series Loki]
He was found guilty of two counts of
harassment and assault Monday
against his ex-girlfriend,
while being acquitted on
two other charges - but the actor
has hit back,
saying he still looks forward to
clearing his name.
British dancer Grace Jabbari, 30,
said she suffered 'excruciating' pain when the
star struck her on the head and broke her finger
in the back of an SUV after she saw a
flirty text message from another woman
on his phone.]

Tbf if (and it's a big if) he is actually innocent and has been wrongly convicted, then he has the right to not be tarred with such a horrible crime.

urors were tasked with examining conflicting narratives about whether Majors was the aggressor or the victim during the chaotic SUV struggle with Jabbari in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan on March 25.
They began deliberations on Thursday, and on Monday they reached the guilty verdict for assault recklessly causing physical injury - but not assault with intent to cause physical injury.
Majors' lawyer Priya Chaudhry claimed the mix of guilty and not guilty verdicts meant jurors did not entirely 'believe' Jabbari's account, and he still hopes to clear his name.
'It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari's story of what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her. We are grateful for that,' she said.
'We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms. Jabbari, the jury nevertheless found that Mr. Majors was somehow reckless while she was attacking him.
'Mr. Majors is grateful to God, his family, his friends, and his fans for their love and support during these harrowing eight months. Mr. Majors still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name.'
But Jabbari's lawyer, Brittany Henderson, said 'justice has been served' through Monday's verdicts.
'We are thankful to the jury, the court, and the Manhattan District Attorney's Office for giving this case the time and attention that it merits,' she said.
It seems she attacked him? not sure about the harrassment though, maybe he tried to get her to drop the case

The details of the case leave enough room for reasonable doubt, especially if as Cherie says it's possible she attacked him.
And wasn't Kang meant to be the "new Thanos" ?

there'll just be a new actor for this character then
…the announcement was very quick, I wonder if they had two statements, both/either ready to go…one of he was found innocent and one if he was found guilty …he had it all there to take, didn’t he …amazing success and dream opportunities…what’s that expression, though…he woke up and chose violence…and with everything to lose, that was still the choice made…

Bizarrely I think the harassment part is because he picked her up off the floor and put her back in the car
…I can’t see any other headline or title anywhere on the story that indicates a skin colour or why that would be relevant at all in a domestic violence story…

he is chucked his acting career down the drain.
…his skin colour wasn’t brought into it in any headline or any title on any side of the Atlantic is the whole point because it isn’t relevant to any of this story…
…the colour of someone’s skin, Arista…has also no bearing on whether someone is aware of them as a celebrity or not…anyway, you carry how you feel you need to…

Black Lady Presenter (Laura Coates, former Lawyer)
with 2 black women in the studio

Yes, his Lawyer, is going to.
But the Marvel/Disney contract
has ended.
There is too much money at stake for marvel/disney to take a risk on him

There's video evidence and the jurors who returned "not guilty" verdicts are probaby the ones who are smacking their own partners around so they believe the violence is justified. 100% an abuser, fling him to ****. Sick of people defending violent, abusive blokes from their supposedly "lying" victims, Johnny Depp was bad enough, this guy has been actually found guilty and people are still like "what if the poor wee soul is innocent and she's just another lying witch". :idc:.
Also can I just say: He wasn't very menacing in Ant-man and while Loki Season 2 is overall excellent, Majors is the worst part of it. I don't think it will do Marvel any harm to switch direction and abandon the Kang plotline. It's early enough to bring in a new "top villain" entirely. ALthough I reckon they might just recast the role, which isnt really an issue either with all of the multiverse stuff + the ending of Loki S2.

…this allegedly was a text sent from Grace Jabbari, his ex and who he displayed violent/abusive behaviour toward….this one sentence says it all, really…how she herself even excuses him and probably genuinely believes she’s was at fault….
…’I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone…’…’them’ being the police to hope that charges would be dropped, I presume…the pressure marks on her neck/throat from the force of his grip that were photographed just after the incedent …and her badly bruised and broken finger were all down to her own behaviour…I mean… it couldn’t be more textbook/domestic violence/abuse, could it…

Its not strange at all that the jury decision was split, a lot of people simply don't see abuse as abuse. Again look at the Johnny Depp case. He (more or less) won the civil case (by jury) and had a load of the public behind him too, when there are multiple videos and extensive evidence of him being an abusive drunk. It's not surprising at all what people will excuse.

"That's not abuse, she provoked him!" seems to be the line in both cases. The "she had it coming" defense. Shouldn't have pissed him off. Should have known better. Etc.
